Now it's time for me to talk about something I don't usually on this blog...episode responses and reviews. This time its the movie!!!!
Personally, I loved it. While it wasn't nearly as epic as it could've been, it was enough for me to step in and enjoy. I say, it's probably just above one of the lower two parters (Where and back again and Empire) but not on par with my favorite two parters (Return of Harmony and Twilight's Kingdom) I still loved it anyway.
I knew I could've seen it online, but I couldn't. I wanted to see a Rainboom on the big screen, and hear them on the big screen. I may not have this chance again, so I took it.
Was I expecting it to be an awe inspiring epic, wiht Twilight breaking her rules and Dash standing in the broken bodies? Was I expecting anouther Tirek and Twily dragout fight? Nope, not in the least.
See, there is a writer on this site that once said,
Let's face it, we are never going to get completely epic on this show. that is what fanfics are for.
And it's true, That is what my fanfics are for. I would love to have all of the above. I would love to have more scenes of Applejack buck kicking a dude upside the head like I know she could, Rarity fencing like in some of the fics I have read, or Pinkie kicking it old school. I would love that, but I know I can't get it. So, I'll have fanfics do it and watch the show be awesome in it's own beautiful way. I'll still love it, even though I know the big name critic won't. And if I get a sequel, fine, if not, fine...it was a miracle we even got this far anyway.
But still this movie was great and I loved it.
Now, for some fun tidbits.
-For fans of my work, you might be curioius as to the locations of the Umbra Circle in this movie. While I did not see Raindrops or Cheerilee, Carrot Top was by the fountain, Lyra was with Bon Bon, Ditzy saved the day, and Trixie is...
Trixie: PISSED OFFF!!!!! She was only in this movie for one minute!
Yeah...
-I think we need to admit this to ourselves. Meghan is a great writer in comedy and write a badass scene of girls firing beams of magical energy, but I don't think she can do too well on epic fights or having the girls fight one on one that often. I also think that she can write three girls pretty well, Pinkie Twilight and Rainbow. The other three, not so much. She seems to want to over do things with Flutters and Rarity.
-for everone here who is an Applejack fan, I am sorry. If you want some badass moments with AJ, please go to my stuff. I seem to have her be the mane character for my fics. If you wish to see AJ be awesome, go there, as it seems that I maybe one of the best Applejack writers on the site, alongside with being a great Pinkie writer (Wich is weird...Twilight and Rainbow are my faves)
-My mother watched this film with me and she said that Storm King reminded her of Dark Conquest. Well, that is just silly. While Conquest and Storm King are both hilarious and silly...I know Conquest isn't outshown by his teamates.

Ummm, just checking, but no body here thinks that Kudos, Raven, or Necromancer are cooler than Conquest...right? 
-Tempest came too late into production of Starfleet, I can't have her cameo. Or can I?
-Oh, and spoilers for the finale...
I'll probably go into more detail later. But remember, there are other planets, other trees. So while Starswirl and company may have been responsible for the tree on Equestria, There were others.
-Heh, Meadowbrook shows up twice and no two items. GEEZE, somebody needs to work on continuity on the show. I like Big Jim and all,
but you can tell he is making crap up in order to hide the mistakes.

This was a fun movie and I am glad I saw it on the big screen
Storm King actually looks a little like a Flanderized Dakari-King-Mykan, in his black Con outfit and spear. I miiiiiiight be a little biased there, though.
