What I would do differently · 5:59am Jan 1st, 2021
As my main account announced, the Shooting stars fic is done and cancelled. And in it's place is something new. At the same time, a certain writer released season 10 of starfleet. and that got me thinking...what would I do differently.
What I mean is, what would I have done with Fall if I treated it less like the porn fic that spawned it and more like my usual adventure story fantasy tale?
Whell...
-First, I would have had Lighing be the one get kidnapped and then forced to face the fact that he isn't the hero. He would have to go through a journey to discover what it truely meant to be a hero, his past, and bond with those he thought would be his enemies.
-Conversly, this means Starla would've been forced to fight as a leader and a hero on her own. While unraveling the conspiracy of Starfleet.
-The moondancer plot would've been ditched, and they would've most likely lost Valkerye because of some spell or move by Titan.
-More scenes with Belle and Spark,especially showing Spark as the brains of the Umbra circle
-Grand Ruler would been more cunning, as in the original I just wanted to skip his scenes. Nowadays, I would demonstrate him as more a Gendo Ikari figure
-Buddy, Dyno, and Myte would be alive and Buddy would've had more development with his daghter. Also, his friendship with Artie would've been explored more along with his relationship wiht Starla
-The Umbra Circle would've gotten more scenes
-It would most likely been split into at least a 60-70 chapter series with chapters going at least 10k words for easier reading
-More space stuff
-More fantasy stuff
-Starlight would've had a few more scenes along wiht Kudos.
-And lastly...Rhymey. After YEARS of pondering how to write him as a good guy, I have it down. He would've been a double agent, that while pretending to be for Grand Ruler, would've been against him the entire time. He would be nice to Fluttershy, mainly because he would've been gay. He would've also been a hero and a lot kinder, develping into a brave knight that would've helped his friends in the end conqure Grand Ruler.
And that would be it.
