What Price will be paid for perfection? · 2:05am Oct 2nd, 2017
The first new story of a Nightmare Month is published, or the first chapter is at least. A tale of lawns and obsession, of one donkey and his desire for perfection and a prize. An accident by the young sets this tale in motion, and an offer is made that will bear with it an unknown cost.
I give you Perfect Green.
The very thing that will make you distrust your neighbor with the perfect lawn, or that old man who screams at you or just kids in general even more. It will give the phrase “Get off my lawn” a whole new meaning.
Enjoy,

I have, it’s the one where his beloved’s spirit had possesed the house and her body is sealed in cement in the basement right?
The kids mess around and things get bad if it’s the one I am thinking of.
As for if this story is like that, well not exactly.
Tell me, have you perhaps heard of the Steven King short story involving a man, lawns, and deals with an odd fellow. It is in one of the older collections, and the closest thing to this tale out there. However despite the similarity that is implied, the tale I have woven is very different. Indeed, you could say it’s roots lie in a Nightmare I had myself as a child. Most of my stories tend to originate from those, but often with a touch of ancient lore woven into them.
However if you really want some idea of what you will be reading, find a copy of the Night Shift short story collection. It’s story number 13 in the collection that is the closest thing out there to Perfect Green.. I actually first read that collection a few years after I had the nightmare that spawned Perfect Green. Isn’t it funny how that works?

I always find it interesting when movies seem to be aimed at a younger audience, and then it becomes obvious they are far darker than ever imagined.
Yes it’s the same movie, I still rewatch it sometimes thinking I’ll notice something new again.

I've watched it fifty times the past few months my siblings love it.

You have watched it ten more times than I.
Every time I watch that film it’s like a new clue can be spotted, one more detail of the story.
It’s one of those movies.
