Millennia: Beginning Revised · 7:56pm Aug 31st, 2017
Hey guys.
So, as I've said a few times, I am ultimately deciding to revamp chapters of Millennia: Beginning. For some time I've looked at the chapters and thought to myself "hmm, I could have done better. I should remake them some day", and thus here I am, dedicating a full blog post to it.
I've already revised both the prologue and chapter 1 in Google Docs, with chapter 2, being a full rewrite and a shift of ideas, nearing completion. That in itself will jump the story in all by about 4,500 words or so, not counting what I've already done. I have also skipped ahead a bit and started the rewrite of chapter 3, and I plan to also do chapter 4 before I publish the updated chapters to FIMFiction.
I won't be stopping there, though. I'll be doing revisions on many of the chapters (and a couple more rewrites of chapters 6 and 12, respectively), too, and I'll likely be doing them in chunks depending on what being changed might affect the chapter preceding or following it.
The later chapters of the story I likely won't touch that much. Maybe polish them up a bit, but no drastic changes that I've decided on just yet. My main focus is pretty much anything between chapters 1-15 where I feel like they are in desperate need of fixing up to be better overall.
When will I update the first batch of revised/rewritten chapters? I don't know just yet. I don't plan on returning to Eye of the Storm until September 20th, which is actually three days after the one year anniversary of it being published. Between now and then, I'll be getting as much done as I can. All in all, after I finish with chapter 2 (which should be fairly soon, I'm thinking), I have already started chapter 3, and all that is left after that is chapter 4.
Likelihood is, that all won't be done for another month, and that's because I am taking my time on all of these chapters, and I may not return to revisions/rewrites until after Eye of the Storm is completed, which may not be until December or January, depending on how school goes and everything else.
