Checking in

Hey guys, it's been a while (duh). With everything that's going on lately I thought I'd stop by this site to let you guys know I'm alive and well (so far).

I'm under home quarantine right now due to the fact that I am getting over what my doctor said was an upper respiratory infection, which has spread to both of my parents and is hitting them harder than it did me, and because I didn't leave my house I couldn't be sure if I had been infected with COVID-19 or not, as I have been working at the Columbus Airport since September and I am exposed to people and their luggage traveling from all over the globe.

I am expected to return to work on Friday, but it might very well be short-lived as my company will be (temporarily) laying people off due to a severely cut flight schedule (from 30+ flights a day regularly to just 6) through the month of April, and I assume me staying home from work the last couple of weeks will help them decide my fate at the airport for the next month or two.

Personally I would rather be laid off and stay home as much as possible through this, and the nice thing is we are being offered unemployment benefits until we are inevitably called back once people start flying again.

So yeah, that's what's going on with me right now.
