Rainbow Factory: The Blackest Night Update · 5:58pm Aug 27th, 2017
Greetings Gotham, Joker here! I must say I'm quite satisfied with how well Rainbow Factory: The Blackest Night is working out. I'll be honest here, I was a little concerned with it, given how I'm not only changing how a Black Lantern functions, but it's right after that trainwreck with I Am Venom. But, I gotta say, it's certainly earning its keep. So, I think I'll keep working on it for now. Making it past three chapters, however, remains to be seen. But, with the support from you guys, it is my hope that I can make it, and, God willing, actually finish this thing. Here's hoping.
Anyways, as far as chapter 2, entitled "Homecoming" goes, I'm making satisfactory progress on it, I'm just about to finish up Rainbow Dash's bit before I transition over to Scootaloo and her Black Power Ring, with Scoots learning about what it means to be a Black Lantern, and why she's different from the rest of them en route back to Ponyville. Also, if one were to take a look at the opening chapter now, you'll notice that I've relocated Rainbow from Ponyville to Manehattan, where she moved to not long after Scootaloo's death. The reason in the story is as simple as Dash is haunted by the memories of what happened in the Rainbow Factory. The real reason is that if Rainbow were to continue living in Ponyville, there's a very high chance that Rainbow and Scootaloo could have their reunion far, far earlier than would be advisable, and that's no good if I want to make it past three chapters with this one.
