We in ponydom have many foes, from Tirac to the witches to Grogar.... but perhaps among the most dangerous is one of the most forgotten. I speak of course, of the Storm King, a mad tyrant who rules a kingdom comprised several islands far to the south of Ponyland. This tyrant has the power to command the weather itself, and loves to rain tyranny down upon all of Ponykind. He is an outcast from the weather-controlling fair folk, exiled by the council of seasons for his cruelty and savagery.
Descended from the original Storm King who once terrorized Equestria a thousand years ago, the storm King has managed to reconquer the kingdoms to the south of Abyssinia, slowly spreading his rule northward. While lacking the massive army of his more simian-like ancestor, the Storm King possesses a greater magical power, using his control of the weather to establish a command over all of the oceans. He's sunk hundred of pony vessels from the southlands, sending countless Equestrian Sailors to a watery grave.
Ponyland first encountered this monster during his rise to power, when Captain Barnacle and his crew first crossed swords with the fiend. Ever since then, he has countless attempts to harm the ponies of Dream Valley, but different ponies have always managed to best him. Despite fighting Firefly and the others, the tyrant's is forever obsessed with destroying Captain Barnacle, and avenging himself for that first humiliating loss that involved the treasure of his ancestor.
I know this is off topic but the proper spelling for G1 Tirek is Tirac? I'm glad you brought him up because he will be the primary villain in a future story of mine.
