The "If You Love Me" Card

You probably already know this card. It's a lot like the Race Card, or the Sex Card, except... like all metaphorical cards, it's different in its own special way. Here's what the "If You Love Me" Card really means: When someone who loves you just won't give you the time of day, you'd say "If you love me, listen to me." Works every time. But what does it say about love? That it can be abused for its own sake? That it can be stolen from everyone's hearts with a simple phrase? That no matter how much you are mistreated, you still feel it? Or maybe all of the above? So playing that card is a sign of a LACK of love. If you love me, please STOP playing the "If you love me" card on me. (I know, I'm a hypocrite. Don't call me that because I already know I am one.) That's all for now, peeps. Until next time...
