Masterverse: Humans, Pokemon and other creatures · 8:03pm Aug 20th, 2017
There are three primary types of "lifeforms" that inhabit the Earth, and out of the three only one race as a whole are fully sapient. They are the human race, Pokémon or Pocket Monsters and other normal animals or supernatural creatures. This blog will explain the basic nature and roles of how all they all live in that same world, future blogs will go into further detail about each one.
Humans
Humanity is the dominate species on the planet. Having an estimate population of over 5 billion they have spread over and settled on most of the known world, this is despite the fact that they came into existence after Pokémon and animals. Most humans in the eastern world work with Pokémon and the close relationship between them are exemplified in the regions that make up the nation of Japan, however in certain western nations like the United States and England Pokémon are not as close with their humans partners who rely more on technology for entertainment and other things. Humans as a whole possess no special powers other than the occasional Psychics, Aura users and those who practice Magecraft.
Pokémon
Pokémon where the first lifeforms to walk the earth, having been created by Arceus shortly after the birth of the Goliaths. While the exact number of species of Pokémon are unknown, the latest update to the national Pokedex puts the number around 800. Pokémon are not considered sapient but are very intelligent in some cases like an Alakazam and Metagross. They do not and cannot posses magical powers as some believe, but rather control the elements and natural forces of the world, on a side note they can be affected and be equip with magical objects. Pokémon for the most part get along very well with humans, more so than other universes in the Pokémon multiverse.
Animals and other creatures
Probably the most overlooked lifeforms on Earth are normal animals, strange creatures and things that would be considered monsters. Agricultural livestock like pigs, chicken and cows are mainly used for food since most people are uncomfortable with the idea of eating a Pokémon. Recreational animals like cats, dogs and rodents are mostly kept as pets or animals in place of Pokémon in most parts of the western world. Other creatures like Hippogriffs, Sphinx and Dragon Kind(not to be confused with Dragon Type Pokémon) would fall under the category of Phantasmal Species, creatures that exist in the myths and legends of Earth. While such creatures were more commonplace in ancient times, many have since died out, gone into seclusion or are close to extinction.

Edit: You know some scientists consider Dolphins, Elephants, Apes, Octopi, and Corvids (family of birds) to be sapient. Just saying that it's something to think about. (Especially since some Pokemon are canonly the spirits of humans)
