Notes from Unfinished Stories and Opportunity

    Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

I know I have been quiet for the past several months, but in case you didn't know, allow me to explain.

I've decided that since I have twelve stories that are still unfinished, I'm going to re-read them to see how to plan them out. And while I was reading and making notes, I've come to a realization. Something to give you, the reader, a unique opportunity.

    Plans Going Forward

    Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

Before anyone out there get any ideas that, "Hey, Cracked, I have an idea for a story, do you take up requests?" Or if any of you beg for a sequel from any of the more recent stories, I'm gonna have to do something that I never thought I would say here.

    No.

Beethoven's Tenth Sequal · 1:57am Aug 17th, 2017

Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

For those who wish that there might be a squeal to Beethoven’s Tenth, I’ve decided that the newest story, “The Second Life of Moztrot,” is going to be that squeal. I’m doing this for three reasons, firstly, since this story is still quite new in its ideas and how to develop it, I think it would be interesting for Moztrot to give his impressions of some of Beethoven’s music. The second is that concerning Horseshoepin (or Equestria’s counterpart of Chopin) that in that world, he’s still alive and playing.

And third, to make this more interesting, why limit this story to only Mozart’s or Mozart style music? I want you fellow music lovers to help me out by suggesting of the kind of songs, musicals, movie scores, etc... of what this insane character would encounter.

So far, it’s gotten 16 likes to nothing, so I’m hoping that I’m off to a good start with this. And I’m looking forward to you guy’s feed back.

Signed your fellow writer and closeted Brony,

- CrackedInkWell.

Ooooohhhhhh...

YES

I do not understand this concept. Can you rephrase it?

(Sigh...) Basically, this story takes place in the same universe as Beethoven's Tenth. In which, though an accident by Sunburst, a dying Moztrot (their counterpart of Mozart) has been transported to the modern day. Time wise, it takes place around season 7, and the story is told from Moztrot's point of view about his experiences in a different time.

*cough* 'sequel' *cough*

The best film scores of all time:
Hunt for Red October
Conan the Barbarian
The Dark Crystal
Last of the Mohicans
Mary Poppins
AKIRA
Star Wars
Lord of the Rings
Mononoke-Hime
Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind
Ghost in the Shell and Innocence (NOT the remake)
Blade Runner
The "Man With No Name" Trilogy
JFK
The Lion King
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (the musical is even better since it actually follows the book)
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Hero

While it really focused more on sparkly visuals more than anything else, I quite liked Tron Legacy's soundtrack. Despite the retailer exclusive track shenanigans. Who said gaijins can't grok taiko?

Maybe a talented team of pegasai can rig up a system of stormclouds like tuned musical tesla coils and analog synth. With assistance from a Cow scientist named Moog (who has to tell everypony that's NOT how it's pronounced)

Moztrot is an earthpony, right? As relations between pony tribes have improved since his time, I hope he can avoid major cultural faux pas.

Hopefully Papageno's Arias didn't come across as racist or tribalist towards pegasai.

Might be awkward when he meets Luna. The Queen of Night Aria was a bit insulting to her. But as Luna is contralto, maybe she appreciates it being a bit cruel and unusual to soprano primas donnas.

Yes, Moztrot in my story is an Earth Pony.

And between you and me, I have been wondering about the Magic Flute in regards to this Equestrian Mozart. (In fact, I’m putting together an idea of how to perform the piece as well.) I tried to figure out a few things myself of just those two characters: Papageno and the Queen of the Night. For the latter, I can imagine that he thinks that somepony like Princess Luna and Nightmare Moon was a myth that he used in the opera itself. (To which, I can imagine his version of the Queen to look differently from Luna). As for Papageno, him being a Pegasus that collects birds just makes too much sense to me.

One thing to remember about this Mozart counterpart is that he basically grew up in the Age of Enlightenment. If you read the conversation in the last chapter in which he wants to be on equal terms with the cook, that’s because of the things he picked up at the time. If anything, I’m tempted of him bringing up a counterpart of Joseph Bologne Chevalier de Saint-Georges, in the real world,
he was a French violinist that was the first black composer in history so in Equestria, I can see that counterpart as a Zebra. (Plus, I’m tempted to write his reaction to Changelings.)
