As anyone who's been paying attention to my schedule has probably noticed, I have a bit of a dead zone in early August. You can blame Bronycon for that, since I'm going and participating in a panel (Is There Good in Them? Villains the Redemption). Between the trip preparations and all the frantic last-minute work to make sure my section of the panel will look halfway decent, there just won't be much time to crank out a chapter. Especially since half my editors/collaborators (Trinary, Ponibius, and Comma Kazie) are going to be my co-hosts for the panel.
That's also why the first release for the month is going to be a bit underwhelming to those of you who have already bought the print edition of Life and Times. If you've compared the print version to the one online, you probably noticed a fair number of differences between the two thanks to several extra rounds of editing, some continuity tweaks, and other general cleanup. For the first part of August I'm going to be updating the version of Life and Times on the site to match the latest print edition, since it's past time I did that and it will avoid leaving behind a complete content draught for the early part of the month. And of course, later in the month once things have settled down we'll be back to normal with the next chapter of The Lunar Rebellion. Crazy to think I'm starting to approach the end of that story.

Do you have a sort of overview of the changes in Life and Times for people who want to stay up to date on the canon but won't read the revised version when it's posted?

There won't be any massive changes—it's mostly just an extra layer of grammar cleanup and tweaking a few things that didn't quite fit with the continuity of stories I wrote after Life and Times. I think the biggest change was trimming several paragraphs out of one scene that just about everyone thought ran too long the original published version.

Happily, doesn't look like I currently have any planned scheduling conflicts with that... though by the end of it I'll have been up for around thirty hours.

After Starlight was summoned by the Cutie Map in Episode 10, I wanted to do a couple of pieces with non-Mane Six members who could also being on the receiving end of such adventures. The first was Derpy, because of the Rule of Funny, but the second was Cloud Kicker.
