So you've probably noticed I'm not on like . . . EVER these days.
I could go on for ages about why, but suffice it to say, I'm struggling severely with health issues. Also have a full time job now which is nice. Soooo happy to have money flowing again, let me tell you. And nice to be home with family.
If your'e wondering why I haven't posted or replied to anything or done anything on the site really, please keep in mind, I can't exactly EXPLAIN why in depth because most of the reasons why I've not been on is related to the nebulous, ill-understood conditions known as depression and autism. There are physical factors affecting daily life too such as panic attacks, sudden onsets of narcolepsy and double vision (when driving, so fun), and a severe social anxiety that makes me physically ill when in new social situations. Soooo, yes, I've been very busy these past few months, but the exact reasons why my brain has not led me to come on here and write/chat are many and honestly I don't understand them all myself.
That being said, I'm seeking help and have been receiving lots of help, support, and love from family. I'm currently living at Mom and Dad's house with my little sister and cousin (who has been my dear friend for years and years now). I'm working with a psychiatrist, therapist, and Christian counseling via my church. Speaking of, I found a great church! Lots of fun groups and I go every Sunday with my cousin. We're still new, but I can tell we'll feel right at home in no time.
Best news is I'm getting a service dog. I'm working with an experienced, well-respected authority in the dog training world (seriously lucky she lives in town) who will be helping me find a puppy. Praying we find one soon. Because of my specific needs, we have to be really picky and my trainer wants to find a quality breeder, so it's taking a long time. Hopefully we'll find the right puppy soon.
I don't know if I'll write again or not. I'm hoping to, but because of my health that might not be feasible for some time. We'll see where things go.

I'm sorry to hear about all those health issues, but it's great to hear that you're making progress. Good luck with the puppy!

Hey BB! I haven't been on DA much these last few months, so I've definitely missed seeing ya. Glad things are good on the home front.
Very happy to hear you've been handling the stuff that has been thrown your way with courage and loving support.
I also echo the sentiment that pics of the puppy would be wonderful thing to share on any avenue.
