We're still working on those immortality pills, right? Because I'm having way~ too much fun for a measly mere century-ish to be enough. :pinkiehappy:

At 30, you have a shot to make it, not a guarantee by any measure. At 48, I probably won't make it to the point where we have conquered death for the masses.

Soooo... that means it's your birthday, right?

Happy birthday dude! 🎆🎇🎉🎊🎉

Some of the more optimistic predictions I've heard think the freaking singularity might hit by 2045, so I wouldn't give up hope quite yet. And with some of the life-extending techs being tested right now, you could very well have a shot.

But yeah, I think I've made peace with that by the time, if ever, that I've got hair that won't fall out and 40/20 vision, the rich kids will have nano-snot that picks their own nose and x-ray vision.

Sucks, but that's capitalism and market forces for you.

Thank you! :pinkiehappy:

The invention of a thing, and when it is available to the masses are two different things. Even if such were to happen, I do not consider myself important enough in the eyes of those in power to have access.

Eh, technically true, but we do live in the Information Age.

If the next Snowden gets a hold of proof that the elite of the elite has a proverbial panacea, and have kept the recipe slash product from the public? There'd be the type of hell to pay that topples governments.

And that's not even counting how there's entire medical companies whose entire MO is 'slap one extra atom into the recipe to avoid copyrights, and call it something stupider for a tenth the price.'

I'm not saying there's no possible road-blocks, of course, but seems to me that sort of thing would be extremely unlikely to be kept secret for long even if somebody did try.

There is still the route of illegal/expensive. I mean we don't allow people to freeze themselves before their body really decays for example. The law could easily allow people to freeze themselves before death if it wanted to.
