Well, the rough draft is done and the pre-readers are feeding. BUT chapter 11 of A Dazzling Sunset is finally wrapping up and will likely be edited and posted tomorrow as soon as I wake up!
We’re nearing the end, folks. Just need to have that showdown and then get all the sirens where they need to be. But I want to ask the folks that read A Dazzling Sunset, should I write any “additional content” for it, what would be something you’d like to see? JKinsley has already thrown a couple of salacious ideas at me on Discord for some ‘deleted scenes’, but I am genuinely curious what others might want to see happen to this version of bacon hair and cheesepuff.
So hit me up with ideas and maybe I’ll do something with it! Anything that keeps me going with good/bad ideas will keep the fic fresh in my mind and the future chapters flowing all the faster.

Third, I’m likely to throw some salacious ideas around too, honestly. But, really, I just want to see Sunset either teaching Adagio how to ride or watching someone else teach her. I can just imagine how powerful Adagio would feel astride a horse/pony once she finally got over the first few “oh my goddess, I’m gonna fall!” scares.
Ooh! Or maybe Sunset helping the girls find an actual house instead of a trailer, and going job hunting. Just all four of them poring over newspapers one afternoon while Sonata circles all the fun looking ones, Sunset and Adagio circle the practical ones and Aria circles one that has to do with... videogames probably.
Ooh! Ooh! Or the Sirens could decide to return to CHS and the students give them the cold shoulder, but none of them care. Instead, they just ignore the students and get into a mock argument with the rainbooms in which Aria and Rainbow or Pinkie get into a teasing match with one another and Sunset and Adagio just lean against the lockers, smirking the whole time. And Rarity flits around Sonata, coming up with all kinds of clothing ideas for her.
Holy balls! OR-... I’m gonna shut up now. But whatever you decide to do, I dutifully await each and every update!

Aside from the fic saying it’s an alternate ending, it still had very little to do with what I said... Glad to know there’s the possibility of Adagio getting those horseback riding lessons, though!

The horseback riding lessons will come in due time, so that will definitely show up. I know I want to show what happens to each of the sirens and Adagio learning about horseback riding will feature in her ending. Sonata will be getting some help from Sunset too. I’m leary about going off too far into slice of life territory as I’d basically be retreading storylines covered by a truckload of other decent siren fics out there. But I’m open to the idea of doing some side stories or something fairly short.
Sundagio is straight up one of my top pairings and I want to milk it more down the line without feeling like I need to do something like just them living with each other. That can be sweet, but it gets boring quickly. And...well...knowing me, the other obvious place to go after this would be a cloppy side fic. I’m just trying to farm out some ideas on what I could do with these girls. One thing I’ve thought of, but haven’t really fleshed out is how they’d work after Sunset got her Camp Everfree mindreading powers. She touches Adagio and sees some historical event or something? She gets trapped in Adagio’s mind? They swap bodies, or some such kerfuffle.

The Everfree one is definitely one I would love to see. And, yeah, I can definitely see the reusing of similar storylines getting boring... So, less slice of life and more... just other stuff to happen?

I’m just trying to figure out what to do with them. Equestrian vacation maybe? Exploring and expanding on siren culture? Is Adagio’s spiky hairband thing actually a crown and shes the long lost siren princess?! Sunset keeps having dreams about her demonic self getting freaky with full-on siren form Adagio?
I want to do something with them, I’m just not sure what yet.

We had the same idea! I’m in the middle of writing a fic where Sunset has sexy dreams of herself with Adagio, both in siren-form and human-form (with Sunset taking any of her three forms depending on the night). Kinda cool you had that idea too... just saying. Makes me feel better knowing I’m not the only kinky one around tonight.

Mm, they could expand on siren culture while on vacation to Equestria, where it’s revealed Adagio is the long lost princess and her crown was the only thing motivating her to return home to her people (ponies? sirens? sisters?). And I like the idea that you have of Sirens eating fish, since they do have sharp teeth in their natural forms (apparently). Ooh! And the reason for the vacation could be because Adagio was moping around because a traditional siren festival was coming up and she hadn’t been home for a thousand years and she wanted to hear the lovely singing again.

Yeah but mine would have to start out with the girls at Sunset’s little kitchenette table, drinking coffee and discussing how they both got a memo to appear for Fuzzy’s next clopfic and being totally meta about those are always needlessly complex and taking pot shots at my own writing ability. Probably also jokes about having to spend hours in the make-up trailer for the scenes.
...which now that I’m thinking about behind the scenes movie cliches...Sunset DOES play the part of the Mane-iac in one of the EQG specials...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
With what I’ve headcanoned for siren society, I don’t think a “pining to see the ol’ festival’ would work for me. But there is several pages of literal deleted scenes I plan to release after A Dazzling Sunset is finished that had them making it through the portal as Sunset originally planned and promptly destroying Twilight’s place due “city bus-sized” siren barreling through. So I could expand that out. There was also a started sidefic/crossover with my other story, My Little Dynamite, covering what Sunset was doing (spoiler: it was Adagio) while the shit was hitting the fan up north. I already put in a hat tip to it and everything. That’s where the idea of Adagio’s headgear looking suspiciously like a crown originally came from. Sirens are an all female race, so in order to have new sirens, they have to “recruit” them, and the siren queen’s daughter, plus a couple of familiar lackeys, head up to shore to do so and be general kaiju-level annoyances.
So maybe I’ll do that? I would like to expand on the sirens beyond the three we were given.

Maybe I should have spoiler tagged that...I saw it in the preview for the EQG special Movie Magic. I’m waiting for the US release to actually watch it though. It just occurs to me that that’s an angle for Sundagio tentacle action...
EVENTUALLY, I will figure out what I want to do with the girls. I have two side things I planned way back I could fall back on, or I might just have an epiphany and write something about magical lesbian spawn. I guess what I’m really doing at this point is putting ideas through a litmus test to see if they float or sink.
Oh, and by the by, I saw that comment of yours on the Writers Group forum about checking one of my fics for updates, religiously. That made my day.
