I've been thinking of doing a spinoff story that's supposed to, more or less, run parallel to Queens to Check, Dragon to Mate for a while now. But it's been bugging me all day for some reason, I had the idea while writing up the first few chapters of Queens to Check, Dragon to mate. But this time around, I thought I'd get the fans involved.
Rules are simple, I'll set up a g docs file for the story then anyone who actually wants to work on the story will PM the email address they'd like attached to the project. For the most part, I will be completely uninvolved in the story, mostly just doing simple stuff like editing and spellchecking. This is an opportunity, to my recollection, only five of the brood have been named with one of said brood being a participant in the events unfolding in Queens to Check. So, that means there are around 15 unnamed offspring from Spike and Chrysalis to be named. For reasons of fairness, and not wanting names to be officially finalized without putting them to a vote among the ones actually writing the story, all names will be posted in the document as suggestions with comments acting as critiques and overall consensus of the new names of characters. As stated earlier, my actual involvement will be kept to a minimum. For a variety of reasons tied to the publication process, when the majority involved think each chapter is good to go (the idea is to have more than one chapter to the story. After all, there's a lot that can go down on a ship full of adolescents).
Everything from the title to what goes down will be up to those that sign on to the project. Also, please leave you FiM Fiction alias somewhere in the document, preferably in a manner that has little to no impact on the script of the story itself. Feel free to leave comments and discussions on this blog, but please don't give any potential spoilers if you can help it.
