Hello again everyone, this you friendly neighborhood artist Mix-up here, I have finally finished a new piece for everyone perusal, and once again an other Mecha this time. With any hopes I hope that I will keep on making more of those posts like this in the very near future, so hang on for more soon.
This Equinepomorphic mecha was done for Spirals95 . Originally it was just supposed to an offer to do a new avatar, but further talks lead to him expressing his like for my other pony mecha designs I did for SFaccountant, he had planned to do another story with a mecha in , and seeing that I didn’t do one in a while I decided offer to it for him. And this is how the design came into being along with creating a new avatar pilot for him.
This sucker took me a lot longer than I had previously planned as I kept heaping on details upon it. I think I am at about twenty hours on this. Still, this was fun project for me to do and I really been wanting to design heavy equipment for pony use for a while now this was, and being the usual sucker for anything mecha. At the time, I was feeling ‘blue’ and design the thing accordingly and I wanted to make it look closer to an actual horse proportions with a vague reminisce of a medieval warhorse. I added yellow highlight. After a while, I somehow wanted to add hexagons pattern on its hull, I think it was because of the hexagon pattern floor I wiped up for a basic background to it.

Hexes are perfect. Composite tank armor is made of hexes. And a hex map is what you play Battletech on. It works well!
