I have to be honest, I've been looking back at some of the critique I've been getting and been wondering maybe I'm just pushing stuff out for your guys' sake. (I'm not saying that's a bad thing...)
I tend to write shorter chapters compared to other authors, this is no secret since I kind of feel like if I go on too much, (unless it's like an important scene) then people might get bored I guess?
Anyway, if it's not a concern to you people just ignore my babbling. Obviously if this story has as many likes as it does then I must be doing something right. But as always, I welcome constructive criticism!
I really am enjoying the story, personally.

Nope, not bored at all. Everything you write feels relevant and it always adds up fairly well.
Trust me, I've been here a while; 2K word chapters aren't even close to the longest I've read in a single sitting. I feel confident in saying the same for the rest of your readers; we're probably hoping for longer chapters to be honest (I know I am).
You're doing really well right now. Just write whatever feels right for the chapter, and you'll definitely be fine.
As a writer I advocate for following these directives:
Write to make yourself happy.
Keep writing even when it's a bit dull, but play with it. Have fun. If you're bored with the status quo, go wild.
Listen to your heart, but take in advice and input as a way to improve.
Of course, I don't always follow them, lol. But I hope they help.
