So I got a bit into design last year. Looking back on my old covers, some of them are kinda okay for fimfiction standards. Not sure if I want to go through the effort and replace the rest (hint: that means I don't), but I have done a facelift for on one of my most underappreciated stories ever:

In other news, I missed this year's Scribblefest because I haven't been very active on here. Don't think I've been slacking off doing productive activities concerning my real life - I have been working on pony fiction all this time, really! My epic Shining Armor story is finally finished at a wordcount of 118k, and there are still two substantial scenes missing, so it might go up to the target count of 120k after the first revision. That's what I understand as a "rough first draft" - the scenes have more holes in them than Queen Chrysalis's legs! Which means I'll have it ready for publishing best case in October, worst case next year. Lot to do.
With all that said, I still did write the one shortstory that, for whatever reason, I always end up with in spring. Not only did I experiment with a first person point of view (that was a lot of fun to write!) but I also created a cover for it that I am especially proud of:
