I'm baaaaaaack.
Okay, so I can't leave the fandom. It's got me trapped inside a big fence, and it took me over a year to realize that the leash around my neck will eventually tighten and choke me if I run too far. I still find myself reading fics and looking at art, and I'm still in the mood to write; I figure, as long as I'm cursed this way, I might as well be productive.
I was going to just keep quiet before putting my new project up, but posting two new Bedtime Stories rendered that kind of moot. So, I might as well just state for the record that I'm back.
And this time, I'm not going to get jaded and burn myself out on constant TwiDash even though that's probably the greatest way to die ever conceived. I've got lots of ideas—some old, some new—for both shipping and non-shipping stories. I had this entire batpony novel that I was working on last year, but my heart kinda gave out on it after Gold-Tinted Lenses tanked.
That won't be happening this time, though, because I need to wipe the rust off my writing toolbox if I'm ever going to get around to writing the myriad of original fiction books that I've been planning for years. So there's that.
I'm looking forward to posting my new story soon. It's about 1/3rd of the way done at 10,000 words. And that's just the first part of it. If that doesn't make any sense to you, don't worry about it; it'll all be clear soon.
tl;dr: A mediocre writer from a time long before this site was mainstream has decided to come back and bang his cane on the window.
Welcome back good sir!
It turns out it's kinda damn hard to leave a fandom apparently
Death of excessive Twidashing.
I agree though, best possible way.
Woo!
Whoot! Welcome back!
