    What is YOUR Definition...

    People often yak at me

    "Try better yourself"

    "Grow up"

    "Improve"

They say all that, but they don't provide actual definitions or explanations of what they mean by all that. It's like I'm supposed to guess what they want.

The same thing follows with fiction, when people whine and complain.

    "This sucks"

    "Write them In character"

Twilight Sparkle Improving Lives? (Friendship is Failure)

    People sure love to complain...

She always tries her best to get through to those with friendship problems and help them improve their lives, no matter how much they reject and act hostile towards her.

She gets disrespected a lot because she wants to help people, even though she's a princess who's saved Equestria on multiple occasions.

What will it Change? (Trying means Nothing!)

In relation to my previous blog, https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/1035717/i-have-to-or-you-just-want-me-to which relates to "Are you doing it for ME or YOURSELF?"

People still get up my back saying I need to "Get Help" "Change my groove" or, and the most often said "Fix your writing-- make it better/different"

I HAVE to, or you just WANT me to?

People often go about saying... "You HAVE to move on." "You HAVE to let go." "You HAVE to Improve" "You HAVE to this" "You HAVE to that."

But here's the real deal to consider. Do I really HAVE to, or do you just WANT me to? That's the ideal.

My Character's Jobs, and plot rulings · 10:31pm May 7th, 2017

(Intro of the Time)

(Now that's how I prefer the ponies to be behaving and doing)

(Hmm... KILO-KHAN kinda inspires me more for Titan's appearance)

People keep telling me all my characters do is just one thing and they have no traits, well that's actually how I like and how I view characters and people in real life (Just one thing)

But also, it's because of how I WANT the episodes to play out. My characters DO have simple jobs and hobbies, but they're not meant to play relative contributions to the actual plot of the series. They're just there for simple padding, or part of the subplot of each ep.

This isn't like Friendship is magic. There's no eps like "Rarity Takes Manehatten" or "A Friend in Deed" or even "Keep Calm and Flutter" no. This is supposed to be a POWER RANGER like series, which means about 70% of the entire episode is supposed to be centered around the bad guys, the MOTW, the danger plot, and the Battle.

The villain's contemplate over a plan and send a monster...

Usually involving the works: Things get strange, the monster appears, the heroes transform, they fight, they struggle, the monster explodes, they save the day, and the villains are outraged, and the subplot is reviewed again and solved.

THAT is how my Starfleet episodes work.

Things like, character jobs and hobbies, they hardly have an relevant contributions to the focus of the series, unless the subplot refers around it, which it usually does not as I don't want it to.

Besides, there's also my WORD LIMIT RULE. This isn't really supposed to be a BOOK you're reading, it's supposed to be like watching an actual TV show but reading LIKE a story. Since it supposed to be 22 minutes long, that means there can only be so many words (3000-6000... fewest exceptions made) so it will equal the proper time length if you were watching it.

It cannot be 44,000 words long, that's about the length of a 90 minute movie, not a less-than half hour episode.

Again, my ponies do have jobs and hobbies in addition to their Starfleet lives, but they are usually just for word padding (Filling to reach the word limit)

All Starfleet fighters are, or become, Astronauts (As it is a Space Defense Force) but they have normal jobs and interests in their lives.

Lightning: Before he became Supreme Allied Commander he was a Community Worker; he would help others with their daily chores or at their work. He would wash dishes, sweep floors, mow lawns, help in gardens organize small events like picnics and meeting dates for people, things like that.

Now that he is commander; (Practically 5th in command of the entire planet) you can bet he is extremely busy everyday. Reviewing Reports, assigning duties to officers, maintaining routines, attending meetings and conferences, teaching at the academy, as well as his own Starfleet patrol and things like that. It's hard work.

Starla Shine: Many people complain she's just plays a damsel, or nothing more than a love interest (Like she's some stereotypical housewife) Well she ISN'T. As well as being a Starfleet fighter and a astronaut. She is a Master Archer in athletics, but she she is also an Astronomer, Astrologist, Star Map-Maker... plus is also Seocnd-in-Command of Lightning's unit (when Lightning can't lead, she takes charge)

But again, it's all just padding and plays no real relevance to the main plots of the episodes, and there's no room for them within the allowed set word-limit. Starla's good enough as is to me. She doesn't need anymore hobbies or traits.

Buddy Rose: He's a Gardner, Farmer, Botanist, Ecologist, and Tree Surgeon.

Artie Bristles: Obviously, he's an artist-- Painter, sculptor, carver. He even has his very own Art Gallery where he displays his works and works from other ponies and creatures all over.

Rhymey I really get fed up with the way people complain that he rhymes and still refuse to tell me WHY they think his rhymes are bad (Personally, I think those people are just being plain rude)

Rhymey may talk in rhyme... like this...

What's wrong about those rhymes? I'll tell you what... NOTHING AT ALL!! SO GET OVER YOURSELVES.

Ahem! Rhymey is an Expert Fencer, and since marrying Fluttershy he spends most of his free time helping her around the cottage, doing the chores, feeding and caring for the animals. Other times he is working and managing his Cafe, "Rhyme Time" where people come for a poet's corner. (those old beatnik styles... at least I think that's what they are.)

Darkness, bongos, base, and fingers snapping...

A Mare:

"Last week, I lost my sweet kitty cat
I had no idea just where she was at
I searched and I searched, and my heart had lurched
Cuz I found her... and that was that."

A Stallion who got dumped

Where was the stop sign when I cross over into Lover's Lane.
When I got hit by car called "Woman" and brought me great pain
What else can I say, except this... "Hey...
If I hadn't met you, It'd save me a migraine!
...AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!

Dyno and Myte: Making them Spanish does not automatically make them racist, just like any creature of any nationality, including stereotypes.

They are mining engineers who run many diamond mines where they mine precious stones to provide for the people (Especially Rarity) They are also expert geologists, and when they're not digging, they act as movers, construction workers, and demolitions. They also are experts in explosives.

When their expertise is required, you know you haven't picked wrong.

But again, I point out, since a lot of people like to disregard things, those are just simple jobs and hobbies usually used for padding, they don't play major roles like the mane 6 did in their episodes (They're not SUPPOSED TO, even if other people like it, I DON'T like it, which means it may be worthless and dumb to me, and will only earn you SCORN from me for praising something I did that I don't like) This isn't like FIM episodes where they do simple things like a big fashion show, or try to make new friends... those can only be regarded down to simple subplots of the episode. The main plot of the series is focused primarily on the action, tragedy, rage and fighting.

I like my characters and plot just the way they are, and if you don't, and are disrespectful, I guess you're just pathetic, and I will stand up to you for being such a disrespectful douche.

That's all for now...

Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad is one of my favorite shows, honestly. Mainly because TIM FREAKIN' CURRY voices KILO-KHAN.

And I like how you explain your plots.

I really get fed up with the way people complain that he rhymes and still refuse to tell me WHY they think his rhymes are bad

I'm admittedly not all that familiar with your stories, so excuse me for any mistakes in this comment.

I think there are two reasons people hate his rhyming. One I'm really not comfortable with explaining here for fear of insulting you, but the other reason is not so much that he rhymes in general, but that he rhymes for no apparent reason.

To explain this, let's take Zecora for an example. Not only could her rhyming be explained by the fact that she's a zebra and it's a trait all zebra's have, (although this is more my personal headcanon because we've never seen any other zebra's in the show) but it also fits her image as a shaman/witch doctor. Rhymey on the other hand is a regular Starfleet pony who, while he does have a profession in a cafe as you said, has no further reason to talk that he does all the time.

I don't like to say this to you, but you gave Rhymey a reason for rhyming all the time instead of making him rhyme for the sake of having a character that rhymes, while it won't necessarily stop the hate, it'll at least "fix" part of the "problem" people have with him.

This is not meant to badmouth the character, it's just an observation.

Not trying to insult, just answering...

Not only could her rhyming be explained by the fact that she's a zebra and it's a trait all zebra's have, (although this is more my personal headcanon because we've never seen any other zebra's in the show) but it also fits her image as a shaman/witch doctor

That is a ridiculous excuse. Not all Shaman's or witch-doctors talk in rhyme (I even have a witch doctor character, and she doesn't talk in rhyme)

Rhymey on the other hand is a regular Starfleet pony who, while he does have a profession in a cafe as you said, has no further reason to talk that he does all the time.

Again... NOT an excuse. A Rhyme is still a rhyme, no ifs ands or buts, and since when do you need a REASON to talk in rhyme?

while it won't necessarily stop the hate, it'll at least "fix" part of the "problem" people have with him.

No it won't... people don't care how rhymey or my characters I written by me. As I have proven before, they care about bullying and mocking, not improvement and helping (As is demonstrated by even doing things as they say don't make them stop) So I'm not going to give them any character development they don't even WANT... not to mention don't deserve.
