Finally, a beginning. · 6:03am May 7th, 2017
Nothing is more frustrating when you spend a night writing, only to reject it all come the dawn.
That's been the cycle since I uploaded the last chapter. A full 12 pages of rewrites, new directions, and variations on theme.
Finally, I think I've found a start that sounds right when I read it. It's not endless meandering drivel or an exposition dump, it finally feels like I've found a direction.
Look forward to a surprise in the next chapter of Lord Barleycorn.
I take pride in my writing, and I grit teeth, lose sleep, and court insanity to bring you my best efforts.
P.S. I noticed just now how listening to audiobooks while writing is altering the way I construct sentences. I'm not sure what that makes me.
I'm starting to recover. Sorry for not editing for quite some time.
Sounds good. I liked where the last chapter was going a lot. Really interesting direction and I can't wait to see how it develops.
I can also imagine how it is hard to make this all work. A ton of characters and plot are about to collide and the explosions needs to not only look real but also be believable and on character.
Particularly how celestial and luna for into the festival has been driving me nuts.
Thanks for putting in so much effort as it Really shows in the quality of this story.
Your hard work is always appreciated.
