I may have dug myself a hole...after I do the AriaXPinkie chapter, I have to come up with the Sandalwood and Adagio chapter. And then I have to do the reveal of who Sonata is dating!
In all actuality, I'm not too worried. The basic premise of the siren relationships has been about checks and balances.
Pinkie helps Aria to lighten up and induces laughter into her life. That it worked is evidenced by the fact they named their daughter Rhapsody, beyond it being a musical name, keeping in with the Siren's naming conventions, one of the definitions is "an effusively enthusiastic or ecstatic expression of feeling.", so it just felt right.
Sandalwood has helped Adagio learn to let go. Relax. I really feel that Adagio may have had some control issues given that in the films she never let Aria or Sonata lead or come up with ideas. She's gotten better since the reformation in my headspace, but it's still very likely a character trait. Hence why I gave them a B&B in the future. Someone's gotta keep the books.
Sonata's main trait that I saw in Rainbow Rocks was that - beyond being cheery as all get out - she's a follower. She's been following her sisters for so long I think she forgot for a while how to form her own thoughts. But, true to her chipper self, she started bouncing back faster than Aria in Raison d'Etre and in forming a partnership with Pinkie and Aria in the catering business, it has forced her to start being independently minded. I want to pair her with someone that will foster that independence but also be available for her when she needs support.
I may wind up pairing her with an OC in that case. I'm running through all the named males in the MLP Universe that would work and I'm not really coming up with anything right now. And yes, I'm looking at guys for her, though if I can't come up with a suitable match I may start looking at the ladies.
