Regarding one of the many options listed in the link above, the idea of there being two Jacks in Sunset's world, one in his RL body and the other in his EQG human body. Here's some thought I put further into that idea, whether making EQG Stardust a villain or not:
The much younger, 19-year-old Stardust Balance arriving much earlier in that world, before the events of the first movie, and becoming a student at CHS. An abrasive, brash and cold pupil who treats everyone with hostility and actively fights back against any bullies in the school; a long-heated rivalry with Sunset Shimmer before her reformation. Eventually becomes the love interest of Sci Twi during, say, the events of the EQG spin-off show that will mostly likely happen after MLP.
The 21-year-old Jack Wright, meanwhile, who's found by the girls and taken in by them. He, by contrast to his younger crude self, is warmer, kinder, and acts as an adviser to Sunset and her friends through any life or friendship problems they have during the course of the fic. Eventually becomes the love interest of Sunset. Both Stardust and Jack don't actually meet until sometime into the story, and when they do... Only one will recognize the other.
Stardust would have the magic of Balance on his side, Jack would have no magic at all; his words are he weapon. So, basically imagine Superman and Batman, but the exact opposite; Superman would have no powers but Batman would.
Thoughts?
Not sure there should be two of you. Think it be better having older JW be trapped in younger EG stardust in place of Starswirl and Sombra. Not sure why but I think having two of you running around with both a time difference and a dimension difference would be to sic fi mind blowing.
