Okay, so I'm serving as one of the judges on the Hearth's Warming Eve Care Package charity project for Bronydom's favorite little Pegasister, Kiki Havivy. It's a nice little project where y'all - *points at you* - submit a nice little piece of age-friendly fanfiction to be reviewed by the judges. If you win, the HWECP crew will print and illustrate your story and send it off to Kiki's family as part of a care-package. (Which will also contain other gifts and donations).

So, this should be fun, and I look forward to judging some of the entries. With all the feel-good pieces I'll be reading, I can just tell that this is going to be an uplifting experience.

Oh, and on the subject of judging: Here's a little something regarding who the judges are, copypasta'd from the statement for your convenience.
Among our judges are such names as DawnFade, Chromosome, Pen Stroke, WandererD, JasonTheHuman, The Descendant, Chaotic Dreams, PhantomFox, TwilightClopple, Thyrai, PonIver, The Sentient Cloud, Whirring Gears, Steel Resolve and even more!
Look at all the big-name authors on that list! It makes me feel so ego-tastic that I'm part of something involving the big-timers happy that this project's getting the support of well-known authors. I'm don't think I'm on the same level as writers like JasonTheHuman, Pen Stroke or DawnFade, but I'm still happy to be here.

Next chapter's going to suffer further delays, because I'm still cranking on the first chapter of my new HiE story. Once I've gotten it written up and have a couple of proofreaders going over it, I'll be able to sit down and mash my face against the keyboard until I have a suitable continuation of Keys' 'adventure', so I'd really appreciate it if you could just sit tight for a little while.

396435 Nope. Not kidding. I've heard the name, but nobody has explained to me who she is.
396438 Kiki is a seven year-old (Seven in two days) neighbor of Tara Strong who suffers from cancer. Her insurance agency has cut her off, forcing her family to hold frequent fundraisers. Ever since Tara stepped in to help, the Bronies have been donating money and presents for her to aid in her treatment.

*sigh* Another author running another story in the same genre as the one they're already writing. 99% of the time this means reduced updates on chapters and a noticeable dip in quality. Oh well.

Thanks for the exposure on the project. My biggest worry is nobody will hear about it and there's only so many places I can publicly promote it.
