You Can't Lock Up The Darkness: The Official Casting List

Greetings Gotham, Joker here! Just thought I'd drop in and share the latest on You Can't Lock Up The Darkness, as well as formally introduce the cast we have so far. Hopelight and I have made some pretty decent progress on the second chapter, as well as developed some ideas for future spin-off stories, such as Team Zoom (well, part of it anyway) going to the Arrowverse, where Barry Allen promptly kicks the crap out of Hunter Zolomon, thinking he's the Earth 2 version. And yes, Zoom will go one-on-one with The Black Flash. Now then, how about that cast, huh?

Villains
Captain Cold and the Rogues: Starlight Glimmer as Captain Cold, Sunburst as Heat Wave, and Aria Blaze (who's Starlight's sister and a pony because alternate timeline and they look really similar) as Gilded Glider.

The Mist: Zephyr.

Savitar: Not gonna spoil it... yet.

Dr. Alchemy: Scooter (unknown older brother to Scootaloo. Can't tell you anything else.)

Weather Wizard: Flim and Flam who created a ‘wand,' that can summon minor to huge storms that allow them to rob banks easily.

Multiplex: Applejack. (she was experimented on and made into a being who can multiply. Now she seeks revenge against those who hurt her…. She also feels a kindred spirit in Zoom. Family: “Granny” Smith, Applebloom, and “Big” Macintosh Apple.

Pied Piper: Vinyl Scratch (she blames Zoom for the loss of her voice, so she creates a device that allows her to speak, in addition to the sound gauntlets. Possibly turns into an ally later in the series)

Madame Frost: Rarity was a geneticist that sought a way to preserve others, more specifically her husband, Trenderhoof (that was his name, right?) Then the company that funded her research pulled the plug and caused an accident that mixed her DNA with pure ice, and as a result, Rarity desperately seeks sources of warmth to make herself normal again, if only temporarily. This results in her taking lives to keep warm and "thaw the ice in her veins." When my version of Firestorm shows up, you can bet that she'll be following her around and never miss a chance to face her in combat. So, she's basically Mr. Freeze fused with the Comic Book Catalin Snow.

Wade Eiling: MISGUIDED Shining Armor who simply is looking out for Equestria. Not knowing his actions are doing more harm than good. When Team Zoom finds out about Shining Armor’s experiments, Shining Armor is disowned by his sister, as she feels a personal blow from Shining's secrets, as it was he who inspired her to become a cop in the first place.

The Reverse-Flash: At first, Zoom is only dealing with the Daniel West version, but later in the series, finds himself going fighting both Daniel West AND Eobard Thawne, both of whom arrive in Equestria via their speed. (admittedly Eobard Thawne showing up is fan-service for those of you who wanted to see Thawne and Zolomon go full-on bumper cars on each other. You're welcome. )

Dr. Light: Alternate Earth version of Moondancer who has Dr.Light's powers. Simple as that.

The Turtle: Mutated Tank, formerly Rainbow Dash’s pet, was experimented on by Shining Armor in order to combat Grodd, Zoom, and other "meta-ponies" but still remains instinctively loyal to Rainbow Dash, like Grodd was with Eobard Thawne.

Girder: Bulk Biceps. He is nearly killed when Blackout attacks but is saved by Zoom making him feel as if he owes him and decides to fight with him until the debt is repaid.

Grood as Himself (you don't know what Hopelight and I had to do to convince Grodd to join our cast. Also, he's the ultimate big bad of the first story.)

Allies

Velocity: Can't tell you who she is without spoiling who Savitar is.

Twilight Sparkle: She's a sort of Jim Gordon character alongside her boyfriend and partner, Spike.

The Rival: Rainbow Dash, because of course that's what she'd see Zoom as, especially after finding out he's faster than she is. Then, she gets a Speed Force connection, allowing her to truly become Zoom's rival. Think of her as the Shadow the Hedgehog to Zoom's Sonic. Best comparison I can think of. Wears a Jay Garrick Rival costume with CW Rival colors and mask.

Pinkamena Pie/Reverb: While she's a bit more serious than her show counterpart, Pinkamena maintains her Pinkie abilities, although she's not quite sure how or why she can do them or how they work. Little does she know that her "Pinkie Sense" is just the beginning of her abilities, and once she's gained full mastery of her powers, she becomes Reverb, a faithful ally of Zoom.

Sunset Shimmer/Princess Celestia/Firestorm: Sunset was working on the Firestorm Matrix as a government-funded project to beef up the Equestria Military, so they could defend themselves against the threats that were popping up in Baltimare. However, the demonstration goes horribly wrong. As a result of both the Matrix going haywire and their combined magic, Sunset and Celestia fuse together to become Firestorm. Like in The Flash TV Show, Firestorm picked the strongest parts of its two halves, meaning that Princess Celestia's mind is in control of Sunset's body, which is now that of an alicorn, and magical abilities, which of course have been drastically amped up thanks to Celestia's own magical prowess, but their initial union is unstable. Unlike The Flash TV Show, however, both Celestia and Sunset recognize that they'd need each other until they figure out a way to fix this. Also, during this time, Celestia is presumed dead, leaving Luna the ruler of Equestria, and she's actually pretty good at it too. Although, the Luna of this timeline never became Nightmare Moon, so there's that.

Moondancer/Professor Light: She's the Caitlin Snow for Zoom, and she helps create that splicer thingy for Firestorm, allowing them to fuse and separate at will. Secretly has light bending abilities but only receives them after she is experimented on by Shining Armor. After the first Doctor Light is killed by the Reverse-Flash, she takes up the mantle and turns it into a relatively good name.

Discord and Eris: Trickster and Prank, fraternal twin Draconequuses(Draconequui?) who love jokes and making chaos and laughter spread like wildfire. Met Zoom during one of his early jobs with a big time gang holding them hostage with heavy-duty magic suppressors and decided to join because of the quote “chaotic possibilities” unquote.

Plastique: Fluttershy. You know how timid she usually is? Well, when she becomes Plastique and is no longer able to have physical contact with another living being, her fears are amplified to the point where she’s nearly driven over the edge, if it wasn't for Zoom offering her a chance to learn to control her powers. She is nearly killed by Grodd during the attack on Baltimare.

Now, there are a few villains I could use some help with, such as:
Sand Demon
Atom Smasher
Blackout

And that's actually pretty much it. Well, time to get back to work! Stay perky.
