IN WHICH I HAVE LOST IT
It's just past 3:45 in the morning where I live. I'm a natural night-owl, but it always gets worse during the week after the time-change. Can I just say: Fuck Daylight-Saving Time. I've done the research, and it actually doesn't save much if any energy. There are some legitimate upsides in making sunset appear to happen later -- namely people are more likely to do outdoor activities after work/school so more time to do them is a good thing… but we could also change school/work hours and scrap DST. The downsides -- fucked up circadian rhythms, increased accidents, etc. -- I think outweigh the upsides.
Anyway, I just wanted to let my readers know that I have finished Comma Comma. It is by far the worst story I've ever written, and deliberately so. I'm wondering if I should put it up on Google Docs so that some readers may give their input on the 1,680 words of insanity (by FimFic's reckoning, it's 1,715; still, I'd hoped it would be longer) before I post it publicly.
EDIT: Tried uploading the story to Google Docs. Damn thing kept crashing due to my ancient laptop's browser no longer being supported. So I'm not really sure what's there now.
Verily, I also hate DST. Or the switch, anyway; I don't give a rat's arse which way we have it, I just wish we'd pick one and stick with it. It's not so bad in the fall, but Spring is MURDER, especially with kids. Cuz at that point it's not just your adjustment issues, it's theirs as well.
There we go, that's what we need: a story where Twilight goes after Celestia to abolish the practice of DST, and Celestia's fly-off-the-handle response to it.
