[UPDATE] Progress report...of sorts · 8:18pm Mar 8th, 2017
I'm hoping to have two more chapters out by the end of the coming weekend, and conditions at work are helping with this, actually. The workload is so slow we're all literally coming up with things to do.
As I've been working on this chapter (the darkest and most depressing chapter...it's called Depression, so duh) I have specific things I want to include, and the only major problem is the "blocking" of the chapter works better as a music video (an audio-visual medium) and I'm naturally writing it, which makes the translation a bit challenging, but not impossible.
Something interesting happened as part of this process, a brand new scene that just sorta morphed into existence that fits neatly between two other scenes, smooths out the written narrative, and does a magnificently better job of setting up the closing scene of the chapter than what I'd previously had in mind. In fact, in comparison, my original plan looks more like a cheap ass-pull.
Just a happy little accident.
