Review #68 - Daring Do and the Cursed Tome

So, you know how on Wednesday I was feeling lazy? Well, here's a review to make up for that. Yeah, yeah, yeah... only one today, eh, what can I say, I still feel lazy. Also, this is technically Wednesday's, even though by the time I actually wrote this it was Monday.

As always, I will put down my recommendations, but I truly hope that you to make the choice on whether to read a fic or not yourself.

Daring Do and the Cursed Tome by Abalidoth

A short, silly fic to answer the question: why exactly is Twi such a huge Daring Do fan?

Review
This one is more like a slice of life fic than anything else. Although there is a little bit of romance, it is a minuscule amount. Sady, nopony has enough time in this fic to gain any major characterization for me to describe, though I can say that what little they have is pretty good. This one actually confused me as to what the author is trying to say. My first impression when I read this was that Twilight writes the Daring Do books, but upon reading it again, I get the impression that Twilight writes fanfiction about her and Rainbow Dash? IDK, something like that. Also, the story could have been expanded upon quite a bit.

This one's greatest weakness would have to be the lack of a clear meaning. As mentioned in the spoiler text, I'm not entirely sure which it is. I would like it to be the first, but I really don't know.

Recommendation: Intermediate/ Worth Reading. (Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy reading this, but it's many drawbacks overshadow the strong points if one actually thinks about the story.)
