Updates (again) and artwork ^^ · 9:59am Feb 22nd, 2017
I feel like I literally just made that blog post saying I’d probably be taking a break like two days ago, but apparently it’s been a few weeks. Well, I’ve got good news. And artwork to share, which is honestly even better (well, I like it better, anyway).
Before I get to the news, I’d like to share some artwork Pasu-Chan drew of Amber Glow and Fox Glove 
But I also don’t think posting her artwork here is really getting her followers (and if anyone actually is following her because of artwork that I’ve shared here, then they’ve probably seen it anyway!), so I’ll just leave a link here. Are people more likely to follow her because they follow a link to her page? I dunno, but at least I’m no longer responsible 
Readers who have only been reading Looking Glass can click that link if they want, as it’s not spoilery at all. Of course, it’s a picture of OCs that you’re not familiar with yet, so idk that you’d actually be interested, but whatevs.
On a related note, I started a Tumblr specifically for my writing. I’ll be writing flash fiction there when I feel like it (so, like, twice a year lol) and reblogging pictures that are relevant to my stories. So if you want to check out all artwork related to Who We Become, that’s the best place to do it (of course, that does mean spoilers for LG readers, since there’s artwork from all points in the timeline). So… it’s mostly a blog that reblogs things from Pasu, but like, specific things lol
Anyway, since people who aren’t already on Tumblr tend to not want anything to do with it, let’s move on. I mentioned in the author’s notes of the last chapter that things were looking up for my update schedule. Well, they’re continuing to look up, to the point where I’m definitely posting Heart of the Forest on Monday 
I’ve got the first two chapters written and I’m making my way steadily through chapter three, so I may even have a real content buffer again before the week’s out 
A small one, but still. Which also means that I should be back on schedule for Looking Glass. No promises, but it’s looking likely.
On a related note, I figured out why it’s been so difficult to write this story. Well, on top of life sucking sometimes. It’s because it’s an AU. It’s one of those things that’s very obvious in retrospect, but the description required is vastly different than other fanfics. I don’t, for example, need to explain how unicorn magic works or what its limitations are. We’re all used to it. But deer magic? That required some explanation. As did some aspects of deer society in general. Plus all the characters look vastly different and I don’t want anyone to be required to check in with Pasu’s drawings (although I recommend it for the quality of said drawings, if nothing else), so I needed to describe how characters look and what not when they appear. Like, fanfiction cuts out the necessity for a lot of that, and it’s something I’ve very much taken for granted over the past almost two years that I’ve been writing on this site. As challenging as it is, it’s been highly worthwhile working on this story, since obviously that’ll be a requirement once I start writing original fiction.
So a finalized release schedule (assuming I do indeed get back on track with this whole writing thing):
February 27th - March 13th: Heart of the Forest, chapters 1-3
March 20th - May 8th: Looking Glass, Act III
May 15th - May 29th: Heart of the Forest, chapters 4-6 (completing the story)
June 5th - July 17th: Looking Glass, Act IV (completing the story)
July 18th: I get the fuck off this website and play Final Fantasy XV or some shit

I feel you, it'd be pretty impossible for me up afford it now, and it was a solid six months of saving up for one when I did buy it. And Breath of the Wild looks badass, so that's definitely something to look forward to
