All Art Is Quite Useless

When I'm not writing stories, I'm writing essays. My keyboard sees fairly frequent use. University student, high functioning Rainbow Dash enthusiast, and satirical activist.

Let's Get Back To It · 2:11am Feb 21st, 2017

I'm back. Just posted an update for BTLTCB, I've missed writing these last couple of weeks, I'm glad to be at it again.

If anyone was wondering, I had a great time over valentines. Me, my girlfriend, and one of her housemates had a great laugh together, I got some fun time out with her too, taking her out to feed ducks/swans/geese was fun. (But not bread, not worth the slap on the wrists. We used porridge oats.) She's been asking me to take her duck feeding for ages and when we finally did it the swans ended up crowding around me. I was walking with the bag of porridge oats, pouring little bits out as I went, and they were all following as if I was the pied piper or something. She got some of it on her Snapchat story.

We were meant to go to a steak house on Valentine's day, but we got the reservation time mixed up, and as a result didn't have enough time to get ready, so we ordered chinese instead. (Meant I didn't have to leave the house, so I didn't complain.) I played Black Ops III with her quite a bit, specifically the zombies maps. Got to round 41 on Der Eisendrache, pretty happy with that.

Came home yesterday night, after spending two more days there than I expected to. Last Friday, we went to TGI Friday's (ironic, right?) and it was lovely. Their rocky road sundae was to die for, will be tempted to go there just for dessert in future. Also the waitress was absolutely lovely, which is always a nice touch. She would actually come and sit down, get on the diner's levels and talk to them like human beings. While some might see that as lazy, I considered it attentive. Kept filling our drinks up too, she deserved her tip.

So, I've been thinking. I'd like to branch out a little more in terms of my writing, and I may start to take requests at some point in the near future. Also, I've got a few ideas for fics which I would like to begin writing alongside BTLTCB. Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to writing the next couple of arcs of BTLTCB, I have a feeling the content will be well received. (In regard to requests, I'd like to note that I'm not up for writing anything sexual or gory.)

Anyways, there you have it. My personal slice of life, and a little update to show that I'm still here. I'm aware that I have a couple of people to reply to, and I do plan to get to it soon, but not at 2:08 in the morning. I hope everyone enjoyed their valentines days, feel free to let me know if you had a good one via comments or PM.

4430798 This has been my second enjoyable valentines! And I plan to! I've received quite a few requests for story ideas, so I'm gonna whittle them down to the ones I'd prefer to do and put a couple out alongside my main when I can.

Oh you know it, there was one swan who must have been the alpha or something just bullying all of the others trying to get the most food, I tried to shoo it, then regretted it. There weren't actually any pigeons present! They must have had a feed stealing seminar on. If so, what an inconvenient time, eh?

Did you not enjoy your food there? It was my first time going (one had just opened up alongside a new cinema and a few other restaurants) and I very much liked the atmosphere. My girlfriend, who has been to a few, told me that the one we went to was very toned down compared to others she had seen, and that it appeared less Americanised. There was still a Harvey Davidson by the door though. Staff were great though, could see in the kitchen and even the chefs seemed to be getting along really well, although to be fair it wasn't completely packed when we were there.

Thanks! Obviously I've received some that I'm not too keen on taking on, some that are pretty interesting but sound scary to pull off, and some that I feel I could do something with! If you've got any ideas you want to add to the hat, feel free.
