Today is Tara Strong's birthday, she is the voice of Twilight Sparkle in both My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic and the Equestria Girls franchise (though the human counterpart has often been nicknamed Sci-Twi by the fans), in addition her roles on the show have included being the voices of filly Twilight Sparkle (voicing her similar to Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls) and Twilight Velvet (interestingly enough Andrew Francis, the voice of Shining Armor, also voiced Night Light).
Of course, I've already mentioned that Tara originally auditioned for the role of Pinkie Pie, but Lauren Faust insisted that she voice Twilight Sparkle. And Tara Strong was originally Tara Charendoff, and was born in Canada. She moved to Los Angeles in 1994, and married Craig Strong in 2000, they have since had two children.
Tara has many roles over the years, to name even just a few would take too long. Happy birthday, Tara, I look forward to seeing what you'll do with Twilight Sparkle in both Season 7 and the upcoming movie, as well as how you'll handle Sci-Twi in the Equestria Girls specials.

One time at a mlp convention, Tara came dressed up as Twilight Sparkle (cosplay). Andrew Francis, Britt McKillup, and Cathy Wesluck, as well as Andrea Libman were there as well as Peter New and Michelle Creber. It's on YouTube.
