Greetings Gotham, Joker here! Well, I was just reading the new comments on Assassinverse: The Blackest Night when I found this one:
The problem is that the Black Lanterns were all essentially slaves to the thing that created them. That would be the worst tragedy for Twilight to experience. However, I do have to wonder if the Black Light of Death has ever tried to corrupt an Alicorn before and what might happen when that power meets with the rainbow light of Harmony?
Well, to that I say this:
So, with this blog, I will try to explain how Twilight's Black Lantern works.
First off, as my research suggests, Twilight is the first Alicorn to keel over (although I wouldn't be surprised if Celestia was on the wrong end of an assassin's bullet every now and again. How else do you explain the apparently common knowledge that orichalum is Alicorn Kryptonite?) As of now, Twilight maintains control of the body, and is able to use her now-amplified magic in addition to being able to use constructs in a manner similar to a Green Lantern. However, she must consume the hearts of her murder victims in order to keep the hunger caused by her Black Power Ring satisfied, otherwise you all saw what happens if Twilight ignores her hunger for too long. Assuming you've read the new chapter that is.
On top of having to kill and engage in cannibalistic behaviors in order to protect those she cares about from herself, Twilight kinda sorta has schitzphrenia from being a Black Lantern. The "voice" in her head (who I might add is personafied as Midnight Sparkle but is actually the Black Light of Death) constantly tries to get Twilight to succumb to the ring's influence, but Twilight always stands her ground. However, I will admit, this story take a lot of influence from the Prototype games, so part of me wants to have Twilight pull an Alex Mercer (if you've played Prototype 2, you'll know what I mean.)
As for what happens when a Black Lantern is on the business end of the Rainbow Friendship Laser... I'm not entirely sure that'll even work because of Twilight's being a Black Lantern.
Hopefully this clears matters up for everyone. That is all.
the Friendship Rainbow Nuke wouldn't work cause it needs Twilight to use it, right?

Please do not pull an Alex Mercer. Prototype 2 killed Mercer's character, common sense and the entire franchise.
