I hate to finally say it, but...

I'm shutting down Lost Kingdom.

This isn't the easiest decision I've made and I definitely wish it weren't the case, but the fire to see this story finished just isn't there for me anymore. Every time I try to write for it I feel as though I come to a complete stop, and with my writing and planning progressing in terms of quality since the last time I updated, getting the story from where it currently is to where I want it to be is an ever-increasingly difficult task. The idea of re-booting the story once more did cross my mind, but there's nothing more I could really add to it that I didn't the second time around.

So yes. This is unfortunately the end of Lost Kingdom. That said, I really did like working on this story. It's the first original story I had in the brony fanfiction community as well as the first story of mine to be featured. And despite having not been updated for around a year, I'm still amazed that a decent handful of people are still reading it to this day. I know twenty readers a week doesn't sound like much, but for a story that hasn't been updated for a year, that's pretty good in my books.

And while I've had to accept I won't be able to finish the stories of Dustin, Claire and Vince, that doesn't mean they should end permanently. If anyone wants to, I'm willing to let them have a crack at Lost Kingdom. Start from where I left off and take the story to your own conclusion, or rebuild the story from the ground up and make it fresh again. I wish I could do that, but I know I won't be able to/lack the care, skill and dedication to do so.

So I'd like to finish by saying sorry it's come to this, and I'd like to thank every single person who's read, liked, favorited or recommended this story in the near five years it's been alive. You have no idea how much it meant to see so many people enjoy something I created.
