So there were a few complaints about how I didn’t give enough context in chapter 3. I will admit I was just trying to get the chapter out and was still on the high of writing the fight scene.
So, I’ve re-written the ending for chapter 3, adding more context for why the Yvalt Empire’s at war, at least from their perspective. I’ve also increased the amount of time the war’s been going to give me a little more room for certain things to seem plausible in later chapters.

While the umpteen-millionth wait for an update goes on, I proudly present a one-shot story
Remembrance
I worked really hard on this and, for the first time in ages, enjoyed every moment writing this. If you feel like it, please check it out and leave a comment.
Hopefully this will be the spark that gets me off my lazy flank and back to work writing for you guys.

Okay, first up, sorry for drifting off again, but work is now ready to begin on chapter 9. In the meantime, however, I've edited and expanded chapter 8 a little, so you can check it out if you want.
Also, if I haven't uploaded chapter 9 in two weeks, feel free to tell me to get off my lazy butt and back to work.
