IN WHICH I AWAIT THE GUILLOTINE'S DROP
I'm not looking forward to next Friday. I know very few people who are. That day, incidentally, is also the second anniversary of my posting my first story on this site. As with last year, I am preparing a Mayor Mare story for y'all that will be posted sometime that day. Will it be any good? I can't promise that. I never do.
To be honest, it doesn't feel as special this time. Not just because I've become significantly more depressed than this time last year, but also because I've posted five installments of MBT since then, so I haven't really left the Mayor like before. I go back to her whenever I feel like writing but don't want to bother with the other stories on my plate. The Mayor is not a complex character -- she has a love-hate relationship with her job and drinks enough to kill lesser mares.
On the anime front, I've decided to start rewatching Trigun, the very first anime I got to watch every episode of in order, way back in 2002 (I saw Cowboy Bebop first, but only caught episodes now and then). I hadn't watched any of it in at least six years. I loved the series to the point that I imported the first eight manga volumes from Japan before it got translated… then rebought them when they did get translated. The very first fanfic I ever wrote -- a sh!tfest abandoned three chapters before its end, never posted, now lost in the mists of ancient HDDs -- was a Trigun fic. The anime still holds up. I debate whether I'd rebuy it on Bluray like I did Bebop and will Outlaw Star. …Maybe.
Don't know when I'll post next. Probably once I have something inane to say. Until then, peace out.

I got no beef with Friday the 13th. In fact, a dear lady-friend of mine was born on a Friday the 13th.
