The Good, The Bad, The Good, and the Interesting · 8:02pm Jan 6th, 2017
Hey guys, lrft4_san here again with another update. I hope everyone had a good holiday season, and has been able to get the new year off to a good start. I sure did, which brings me to the first good thing I want to talk about. I'd really hoped that I would be able to finish chapter 11 of The Marvelous Misadventures of Shining Armor and the CMC before the end of the year, but that didn't happen; pretty much as soon as I began to find motivation again, things became hectic. With the store where I work getting new owners, which meant me having to take on several new duties (which is fine, it's just been taking a while for us all to adjust to the new way things are being done), and the holiday season, there just didn't seem enough time to sit down and write. Then, on New Year's day, I finally sat down, put some music on, and just wrote. I probably wrote for over an hour, and I gotta say, it felt awesome to get back to it. So much so, that I've actually been writing everyday since, and little by little, this chapter is finally coming together.
Now the bad (which is actually more sad than bad). Chapter 11 of The Marvelous Misadventures of Shining Armor and the CMC is going to be the last I ever write for this story (other than an epilogue which I hope to release at the same time). It's kinda sad putting an end to this story that I've spent the last three years working on, but at the same time it's kind of a relief knowing that it will be finished, and I will be free to move on to other endeavors. Which brings me back to the good.
Over the past few months, I've been toying with a few ideas for stories that I'd like to write, but I haven't been able to bring myself to work on them because I didn't want to just leave this one incomplete. Once I'm finished here, I'll be free to work on a new story, one I hope you will all enjoy.
Oh, and here's a little something off topic. For Christmas this year, my mom bought me microphone and stand. I wasn't really sure what to do with it because I don't perform music live, so I was thinking I might just return it, and buy something else. But then it hit me; some time over the summer, I'd started a blog called North East Nerds (which I have since neglected ), and one of my goals was to be able to sit down with other people from my state, and talk about our favorite nerdy things, then maybe write it down and post it on the blog, or record it. Well, I got to thinking; "maybe I can use this mic for recording a podcast." Nothing fancy, just me and a couple people chatting about nerdy stuff. Idk, there's an idea there, I just need to flesh it out a bit more. I thought you guys might find that interesting; I'll keep you up to date on whether or not it actually becomes a thing we do.
Okay, that's it for me for now. Thank you to all who have stuck around this long. There's only a little bit more to go, and I hope you all will enjoy it. Until next time, this is lrft4_san signing off.
I hope you continue The Marvelous Misadventures of Shining Armor and the CMC story, I really liked it.
Will you be planing a Sequel to The Marvelous Misadventures of Shining Armor and the CMC? I do remember you mentioning you had ideas for them.
4372056 Probably not. I'd toyed around with an idea a couple of years ago which I thought would be really cool (it featured Discord), but I was never really able to tie it together as neatly as I was able to with the original. Also, I the first one took way too long to write, and I just don't think I can put myself through that again. That being said, one of the stories I plan on working on is another Shining Armor story, and while it won't be a sequel, it wouldn't be too difficult to throw in some references to the original to show that they take place in the same universe.
