Hiya!
Wow, all my stories are complete. Now I just have to deal with sequelitis!
A lot of minor ramblings to do. First, I am only about eight followers away from defeating my arch nemesis, so that's good. I just need to keep writing things people like, and victory shall be mine!
Going to spend this week being lazy, as I managed three chapters this month, as opposed to my usual one. I'll be cleaning up my Gryphon Empire chapter, due to it having some...issues. I am a different writer than I was a year ago, and that story could use a little fixing up. I'll make a small blog when it is in better shape. I partly want to take the chapter down for now, but not sure if that means I lose the comments on it or not.
I will also start the sequel this year. Probably before April is about the best I can give for a date.
Hopes and Follies: Yep, I won't be putting any new stories up until the first chapter is out at least. Changing and editing to the main starts next week, and I will probably try for two chapters before looking at a new story of any kind. So look forward to Hopes and Follies: Betwixt! I...think that's a decent name for it...?
Back to looking for a new artist for me.
Mauxie: We are over halfway through my storyboard for this set of stories. I have two more planned out, and 'possibly, probably?' will try my hand at a clop side story to see if I can make a decent one that is more than just three paragraphs like "Moment Among Mirages' was.
Still, I do have a question on Mauxie; should I make a slice of life about the two of them going on a date? Their first date, maybe? I don't have plans for it at the moment, but if people like the idea, I'm good with adding another short story on to the series.
*My god, did I really ONLY do Mauxie stories last year? Apart from two empire chapters...I think that's the case.*
That's all for now, thank you for the continued views, comments, and following. It keeps me encouraged to continue to try new stories.
I've always been a big lover of Trixie stories being my favourite character and i loved Hopes and Follies, it's a shame that i've all but ran out of Trixie stories to read but i look forward to anything you do put out regardless of your pace
4365459 Yeah, never enough Trixie stories out there for me either. It is also painful to look back and see all the cancelled or 'on hiatus' ones that were so good and deserved completion.

Yeah, it really is a shame and it caused me to only really go for stories that are either completed or have a large word count, So many go so far and just stop halfway through. Finding a good quality story can be hard, finding a good quality story that will be finished is that much harder, It's why im thankful for endings such as the one to your Hopes and Follies, its enough to satisfy the completion of a story, with the open end for if you ever wished to continue it, i've seen a lot of authors bite off more than they can chew and get overwhelmed by their own stories
4365538 It's why I do storyboards, I know where I'm going, about how long the story is going to be, and the major points to it. It also means I am slow to start a new story, but at least I have a road map to what I am planning on.
Sadly, Empire's cliffhanger is too problematic, but, hey, I'll just try again now that people brought it to my attention. The joy of fanfic writing.
"Betwixt" is a good word, yes. But I wonder if just attaching it to the original title can't be improved upon?
The original title took a common idiom and subverted it, as the dream turned into a constant source of anguish for Trixie. And the progression was generally positive to negative overall.
The obvious idiomatic source in this is probably "betwixt and between". But the optimist in me says (or hopes, at least) this time Trixie starts at a low point and will fight her way to triumph. So maybe something in that vein, subverting idiom to reflect the story?
If you think you can do a good job, yes. It'd be nice to actually see it.
4367425 Sorry, just commenting now since I am actually working on the sequel...finally. I thought to go with 'Betwixt' because.
1. This is going to be a three arc series. This being the second arc will make it between the first and third.
2. Trixie is rather between a rock and a hard place. A desire to be with Twilight, but no interest in becoming a princess, something expected of all Alicorns in Equestria. Her desire sets her at an awkward spot as she is physically an Alicorn, but does not have the bearings or the weight of responsibility the other four feel.
But, as I get this first chapter created, I will look over and see if there is not a better fitting name.

A trilogy, you say? Interesting. "Betwixt and Benighted" immediately sprung to mind, though I don't think it fits well (I hope) for the arc that you're starting. "Betwixt and Besotted"... something tells me this is a bit too on the nose too. (Not knowing what you're planning, I can only guess at what the ending state will look like.)
4431932 Ohh, I completely understand what you mean now. Yeah, I like that Idea, I will go through the storyboard and figure out a title then. I at first didn't think you meant removing the original title, just adding more to it. But making a new title for the sequel along those lines sounds much better. Thanks for the help.
