I've been surprised you haven't had more trouble, really. Even the main LT stories pushed my comfort zone at first, and a lot of fimfic seems much more sensitive to gore than I am. The positive reaction you got to BD II was a pleasant surprise to me.
You handle it well, though. It's not sadistic and it's not gratuitous, it's an integral part of the characters' love for one another.
The interrogation, on the other hand... That, I suspect, is going to be nasty. Hopefully I can handle it.
