IN WHICH I AM A SPACE COWBOY
…I think it's time to blow this scene, get everybody and the stuff together… Okay. Three, two, one, let's jam.
Started watching the Cowboy Bebop Bluray set I bought nearly a year ago. Bebop was the first "adult" anime I got to see much of back in 2001, and I still have the 2000-era DVD's – which even by that era's standards look pretty bad. This is one of the very few traditionally-animated TV cartoons where I feel Bluray truly enhances it, just because it really is that detailed.
But I don't want to talk (much) about anime, I want to talk about my bad writing. SO… progress continues on my latest story, albeit slowly, but more important than that I want to mention one recurring thing in my work that it seems my readers (all three of them) have missed:
(my) Sunset Shimmer names some of her possessions.
- She's had multiple leather jackets – Tanya (outgrew), Heather (destroyed in EQG1), Sasha (mentioned in H&L), and Rachel. (if I ever depict the Chevron cut-off jacket from EQG3+ it'll need a name too… maybe Cindy)
- Her scooter from RVSS@4 has a male name. I've had a hard time coming up with one – André is one I keep coming back to, but I've also tried Vespa, Starswirl, William… I don't know what's a good name.
- Her acoustic guitar is also stumping me. Lucille is too obvious, so I tried Ethel (props if you get that joke), but nothing's really clicking right now. Maybe her guitar is more masculine. I don't know. I'll just have to ponder this more.
Well, that's all for today. I keep wanting to go on a rant about shipping, but it'll have to wait. Again.

Jimi might work. In my WIP story it's currently called Nick, the first name of the guitarist she takes inspiration from. But a one-syllable name sounds weird to me.
…Harrison is another possibility.
4335094 Probably clear that I suggested Jimi due to Jimi Hendrix. Figured with Sunset being all down and stuff the blues would probably be something that resonated with her.
The guitar of a one time demon girl who almost lost her soul in a bid for world domination should obviously be named Robert. Bob if you're in a hurry.
