    Upped to Mature

The patron requested it, so Blue Wedding Belles is now rated Mature, and will proceed under that banner. Figured I should post an alert about that.

So hey, you know folks have these. I just made one specifically for FimFic, with FimFic-specific reward tiers. Get me to write stuff for you for as little as $10/mo and starting at $1/mo, get a say on where my muse wanders.

You've all been supportive and wonderful, and I hope some of you join me there: https://www.patreon.com/davidsilver

I'm specifically not offering early access to things, since that's against the rules, and I want to share what I write with all of you, supporting or not. That is not changing.

To more horse words!

Wait, so does this mean that if we're giving money to the Ponyfinder Patreon, we can't use that to pay for fic-related material? :pinkiegasp:

4329275 Now there's a tricky wicket. On the Ponyfinder side, you're getting the Ponyfinder books, pdf or physical depending on the tier. What do you suggest, loyal supporter?

to tell the truth MR Silver I love you righting here on FIMFIC but I prefer the books you make much more as it is a hands on copy I just wish I hade the spare cash around to throw your way.
but you know this from our past chats.

4329282 Well, you've put me in a rather difficult spot by asking me my opinion on the matter. That's because I'm quite obviously going to protest something that isn't in my own best interests, regardless of the circumstances.

To put it another way, I liked that my patronage was doing double-duty, in that it earned me Ponyfinder books and could be used for fic-related materials. Anyone is going to be upset when the rewards they've been earning are suddenly scaled back (which is effectively what this is, since now we need to support two different Patreons for the same materials that we were earning a month ago).

That's contrasted more highly with the fact that some of us weren't making (full) use of the fic-related rewards that our Ponyfinder contributions were racking up, essentially letting those go...or banking them until they'd built up enough credit.

Long story short, this is quite likely a wise move for you personally - I have little doubt that this is a shrewd idea insofar as maximizing the profit you'll earn from two different areas (e.g. your professional Ponyfinder work and your personal fic-writing), but that necessarily means a reduction in benefits for someone else. But then, that tends to be how these things go; a gain for one person often means that someone else is losing out correspondingly, at least where transfers of money are concerned.

Personally, I can tell you that I'm stretched thin enough that I'm not going to support a second Patreon. Particularly since when I get proactively involved in a fic (rather than reactively critiquing them) I tend to want to play a role that's substantial and long-lasting, and so don't want money to become a barrier to that. Hence why I preferred to bank my fic-related rewards for months on end. But now...*sighs*...it seems like that party's over. :pinkiesad2:

And...wait...did you just become a patron of yourself? :rainbowhuh:

4329455 I haven't edited any of the Ponyfinder tiers. Their rewards aren't changed. Also, yes.

Should I switch?

4329623 It would make how many horse words you get much more concrete.

4329648 Let the horse words continue!

4329504 So long as that remains the case, I have no complaint. I'll just continue to bide my time, slowly building up credit and goodwill, until one day...when you're least expecting it...I'll cash them in. :rainbowdetermined2:

...darn these smilies and their lack of an evil grin option!
