So, that happened, didn't it? It was just supposed to be a routine job. Disband the gang, catch the leader. Nopony was supposed to get hurt, nopony was supposed to die. Is it worse to know that even with everything you could have done, it still wasn't enough to save who you could? Or that you lost yourself and ended up with the blood of a misguided teenager on your hooves? In a sad twist of fate, it was only after everything was said and done that you realized the all of this could have been avoided. It's too late for that now though. Lives are lost and the only thing left to do is pick up the broken pieces and move on. What does it mean to be a hero if something as simple as 'routine' lead to the deaths of almost twenty in a single night?
Today's chapter is the cause of all of these questions for our two heroes. Another mission is complete and the starlit world of being a hero is darkened yet again. For the first time, I actually skipped an event because our narrator was being unreliable. In her defense though, there was shit going on and she had no way to see it coming. Memories like that can never be erased, and the moment they're brought to the forefront, time has a way of stopping to let them play out on repeat. Our 'invincible hero' isn't so invincible and goes and gets herself hurt. The masses tend to lose faith when their god bleeds. Next time, we'll see the aftermath. The physical and emotional toll this event takes on our two heroes and a question; just what exactly are these mirrors?
Well, now we've brought the tone of the series back to where it belongs. May have gone from 0 to 100 real fast, but I figure that's how things escalate when you screw around with unknown tech. For Synchro's design, this is more of what I pictured while I was describing what she looked like, but in her color scheme. Also with hooves instead of claws. She didn't lose all of her pony likeness, but was certainly not a pony after the fact. Anyways, that's all I've got about the story, on to the next thing.
My finals have been relatively easy so far, and I am done with two of the five of them now. Or rally two and a half. My art final is in pencil, all I have to do now is color it, but I can't do that until I get a hold of my paper on Monday. It wont take long to do, so once Tuesday comes around, I should be done with everything. I'll have All of Tuesday and some of Wednesday to blow before my App Dev's show and tell, then I get to go home for a month. That should be good for the most part. I will have to stress over getting an internship, but with six options and me applying to all of them, I figure I can get one before the semester is done. Hopefully.
I don't know what to do with my life now that I've completed the pokedex for Sun version. I'm still technically missing Lunaala but I'm not too inclined to care about that since I don't feel like trading my Solagaleo away. If anybody has I'd be willing to do a temp swap of the cover legendaries for pokedex purposes. That aside, I bought both Portals and Undertale last week for about 8$ so I do have that to play once I finish all my work for school, which there really isn't much left of. Anyways, that's about all I have to talk about today.
TL:DR The next chapter will not be any happier than this one was and we'll start asking some important questions.
