Yes, yes it has.
And yes, I will. I'm hoping to have it done during my winter break. My first semester of graduate school is on it's last week of the semester.
Of course, this is only partially an excuse, as always, because I actually have had more free time than I expected. Not always, but sometimes. But as always, I struggle and I fall and all my words sound awkward, so I avoid it for a while. I did work on it for a couple of hours last week, though. And I'd like to try again today.
I don't really have a good enough part that I feel is good enough for a sneak peek, but I will tell you one thing about the next chapter.
Unlike the other chapters, Discords' will be in first-person narrative. This is part of why I'm struggling with this particular one. I've never done it before, and it feels rather awkward sometimes, and I want to get his voice right...
That, and I still have to figure out Discord's history and when it's appropriate to time-skip. I don't outline because I'm too lazy. I just kind of brainstorm until it all comes together. Definitely not the best method with professional writing, but since it's fanfiction, I just let it go with the flow...and hope it all works out. XD But it has for this story so far, so I think it'll be okay.
But I do have, I believe, about 6k of the chapter done. And who knows how much more there will be? Anything goes for me. *facepalm*
And after this chapter is eventually finally posted, I predict about 2 or 3 more chapters before its end.
Of course, who knows how long I'll take for that? UGGGH WHYYYYYY CAN'T I WRITE FASTER???
Anyways, just thought you'd all like to know! Wish me luck! I'll try to have it out at most by next year.

I'm with ya outlining isn't as much as going with the flow. Which is how I write as well, it leaves your story and means you can add as much stuff as you want as you go.
Don't worry about taking to long, this is all for fun after all. So go at your own pace. And remember to keep being an awesome writer.
