So, as some of you know I'm having some serious eye problems. IE constant double vision. Because of not wanting to make mistakes that would piss off the customers or cause my store problems I took a leave of absence.
I'm gonna put the page break here because this might get a little long. But here is the TL;DR- Because my doctors are idiots, I may lose my job. So, I'm planning to put out a lot more writing to try and help out at home. Commissions are reopened, as I'll be concentrating on them first, and I'm going to start advertising my patreon again. So... This all started back on September 12th. I was at work, and my shift was going fine. Until, I got a bit of light headedness. I closed my eyes and took a few gulps of water before returning to my customer. I'm a cashier, by the way. He handed me a 100$ which I took a look at to make sure it was authentic when a jolt hit me and the prisms in my glasses stopped working. Suddenly I was seeing double all the time.
I finished my shift feeling a bit wrecked but determined and went to the ER right after my shift. The doctor was certain that it was my eyes and not something in my brain. So, I was referred to a specialist. Fearing my eyes would get worse as they already were I decided the best and responsible course of action was to take a leave of absence from my job.
I saw the specialist on October 12th. Yeah, it took that long to get in. After a three-hour appointment, he basically said that the surgery I had as a kid had come undone. While a far higher prism prescription could help it was inevitable that I needed surgery. The problem was because I had already had this exact same surgery I needed a surgeon that is a veteran at this. Not only that but it's primarily a pediatric eye condition. So I got the referral from him to see one of two surgeons who'd be willing and able to do my surgery.
A few days later I got a call from the surgeon that I needed my primary care doctor to refer me as well. Alright, a bit weird but whatever. I went and saw him at which time he was happy to do so. Though he made sure to specify five different times that it was a pediatric surgeon I needed.
Waited a few more days before I got a phone call from the company handling my leave of absence. They needed some paperwork signed by my doctor. Okay, whatever took the forms to the specialist told the receptionist I needed them done asap for my leave of absence then went home. An hour after I got home I got a call from the specialist. They couldn't fill out the paperwork so they faxed it over to the surgeon.
Finally got an appointment with the surgeon for a consult in... February. Buck.
Then the surgeon called they can't fill out the paperwork till they see me. I begged and pleaded but the soonest they can see me is the 12th of December. Once again. Buck.
The next day I got a call from my manager that my case had been closed by the company because they never received my paperwork... BUCK!
I called the company and begged and cried I sent them everything I have and waited three days until this morning. Then they called. They still can't approve it without the paperwork. It would be up to my store and to tell them what was going on. I did.
They can't approve it without the company approving it...
I...dear Celestia I can't tell you how upset and hopeless I feel right now! I did everything I could! So... I'm probably going to lose my job from all this.

I hope things work out better than you're think, Foals. Hopefully the store will understand that the doctor has to see and evaluate you before the paperwork is submitted back to them. I can't see why they wouldn't, really. Anyway, I'll try to assist as I can and will forward this post on to friends. I do wish you good luck and best wishes and a *hug*.
