YEAH! 300 (and one) followers! I'm so jazzed! So much so, I must thank you all so much! Every last one of you... You all know who you are. You've put up with my lame writing, poor jokes, bad memory, poor spelling, un-creative ideas, and yadda-yaddas for a long time. But I'm really happy for that... Really I am. You guys are great, and I know I don't tell you that often enough. This is yet another mile stone for OLF, and this guy is going to keep on going. I hope you all stick with me and keep up-voting me and commenting on my work until I'm near the top or am the top.

I know some of the reasons for the obvious choices were...obvious but I went with what I imagine the reasons would be. As for ponies on the teams?...I just went random on most of them.
For the pairings I wanted to choose ponies who wouldn't normally be paired together in a story (except for the obvious ones like vinyl octavia tag team, shining twilight, dash derpy) and think how would they interact with each other with not just the the opposing team but with their teammates as well...in my mind its funny to imagine octavia and scratch in a tag team battle with a dragon and a minotaur and also rover putting up with rarity. Although the match with doctor and crackle I just thought "screw that let's have every pony do a capture the flag match for a finale for all the marbles!"
The reason I didn't pick celestial and discord for teams is because it seemed more like they were just picking they're..."champions" to fight for them.

If any participants can, MEGA SCALE LASER BEAM DUAL! Those classical ones where the two beams are crashing into each other and they have to overpower the other side! And every being that could possibly do it on a side has to be contributing to it! Hell, throw in the Elements of Harmony rainbow beams!
