    I Need Help - Emergency

So to put it simply, I need help. Some things had been hidden from me until the very last moment, and at 5 pm on December 4th, I will be homeless unless I figure something out living situation-wise. Unfortunately, I have no way of fighting what is coming and have to resort to desperate measures, and that means swallowing my pride and asking for help.

    Story updates: Hiatuses

So as a lot of you know, I have quite a few stories under my belt, some of which are stuck in the incomplete stage and haven't been touched since Faust was in charge of G4. Naturally, this is due to a lot of things, mostly inconsistencies with my writing style evolving over time, work and stress irl, depression, and other factors that have otherwise hindered my writing.

What do you wanna see? Part 2 · 5:10pm Oct 5th, 2016

In regards to my Fall of Equestria, of which I decided... eh, why not make it my own little universe. I wanted to ask the whole lot of you a question.

So many of you want a sequel, which I had one planned anyway, but so many of you want to see one so badly, I wanted to ask.

Just what is it you want to see exactly?

So far I've seen a comment or two in regards to Lyra's being Marked and her meeting a younger Twilight and talking to her about the humans.

But what do you want to see in the sequel?
Comment now! :moustache:

I want to see the aftermath, and Celestia explaining what being marked means.

Yo, nice to hear you planning a sequel. Though, I feel that it kind of takes away your idea of the universe if we the audience decides how it goes so soon.. maybe make the sequel with what you already have in mind then others can make side stories pertaining to it.
But if you are stuck with what kind of path you are going for, then maybe start of with how the Dead Ones came to be in this world of Equestria vs. Caribou and work from there. What are their origins? Their goals, purpose, and the like. Why Clelestia is so fearful of them? Also, seeing how Lyra is connected to them, show how she has been researching them for so long and how when she meets them again it's different from the books she'd research from. Maybe join a small group of them or a whole group. Maybe there are multiple factions or they are a united group, being lead by the one who marked her. Those are some ideas but overall this is your story Dustchu. Hope they help! :derpytongue2:

Hmm, we'll find out what being Marked means, I will say its important though.

4241304
Yep! And don't worry, its not going to be like... driven by what the audience says, I have a plan as to where I want it to go. I was just curious to hear what you guys were hoping to see, what you might be expecting. Such as what you wrote out!

We'll certainly find out a lot of things in the sequel, a lot of things that'll make a whole lot of you go Wha? or confuse you greatly. I am horrible with teasers :trollestia:

Maybe see a little of technology vs science in the story. I love those kinds of tropes. Also read the dead ones a few days ago. Definitely a good story. Which is saying something as 99.9 percent of anything having to do with fall of equestria make me feel well... unclean afterwords.

4241343
Hahah, trust me, I know how you feel. I hate those stories, considering I read one about Rainbow Dash and it made me... well, let's just say I took a shower afterwards... no lie.
SO... the Dead Ones came into play, my own little universe that'll come into play and let everyone else be apart of it... once I get the sequel out of course, hehe.

In regards to my Fall of Equestria, of which I decided... eh, why not make it my own little universe. I wanted to ask the whole lot of you a question.

You pretty much have to make your own setting. By reading more or less all the canon FoE stories (and trust me that was a nauseating experience) I can tell you the Caribou are led by Kind Dainn, somehow conquered Equestria with almost no casualties, and have runic magic that is also antimagic (yeah tell me how the hell that works), their society is ridiculously obsessed with humiliating and violating the female gender and enslaves them and brands females with specific collars based on submissiveness and of course dehorns and plucks all feathers on females with the appropriate appendages.. This is literally the extent of the world building I found in the canon stories and they're so littered with plot holes that it goes from being amazingly incompetent to sad to funny and then just to pathetic.

This is the extent most canon writers of FoE bother to go-the rest is just disturbed rape themed clop.

So, long story short, you have to make your own setting if you're going to make anything resembling a "good" FoE fic, even if you're just using the Caribou and Equestria doesn't fall. I know that's what I'm doing in my own FoE fic I'm working on that isn't devoted to fucked up shit (I'm intending to subvert a lot of things the canon FoE writers seem to love)

Well I'd like to see more about what marked means, also do humans attack ponies? Probably not since they didn't attack the village.

So mainly from here you should write about why the humans hate the Caribou and also about the various tribes of human and their history.

4241459
Christ, this whole Caribou thing is just... bleagh, hence why I'm writing my own in which they get viciously slaughtered! :pinkiecrazy:

That is helpful, because I only knew about the odd magic thing they use and King Dainn, and how they pretty much took over all of Equestria which sickens me to a massive extent. And the Dehorning and Plucking, bleagh. The collar thing was vague as hell, cause I couldn't find anything about it anywhere... then again I didn't look hard enough so that's my bad.

You pretty much have to make your own setting.

I meant like... make my own universe that you guys could write little side stories for if you wanted to once I get the sequel out and some setting stuff, I don't word things the way they should be worded, :rainbowlaugh: My mistake.

I know that's what I'm doing in my own FoE fic I'm working on that isn't devoted to fucked up shit (I'm intending to subvert a lot of things the canon FoE writers seem to love)

I may check out that story if you have it up, I'd love to read an FoE fic that isn't crap. I've only ever read one that was awesome, and it was the Doom Slayer fic by Dragonman461, who read my own story and made me incredibly happy~

>> 4242130
I have so many exciting things to write in the sequel, hehee, you guys will find out all kinds of things, so stay tuned!

4242820 Well, on the collar thing, there's really only two that you should worry about. Red collars are given to mares who are "happy" and obedient with their enslavement and do not resist, These collars have a velvet or silk padded lining and are often customize. Black collars are those who so much as back talk their slave masters and don't beg to be brutally raped-so pretty much everyone who hasn't had their minds broken. Black collars, from what I've gathered, are inherently uncomfortable and cause a constant mild pain. I think certain other collars exist for visiting dignitaries, but those are so vague and stupidly implemented you may as well ignore them.

Something I forgot to mention earlier is that the Caribou have blankers -basically, something that utterly wipes the mind of its target and allows the Caribou to basically reprogram them to be submissive, although most higher functions are stripped away. It can also turn stallions into mares, so there's that. Typically used on individuals they consider too dangerous to remain as either a stallion (the odd female sympathizer) or if they finally admit their constant rape somehow isn't making a violent mare submissive so they just wipe her mind.

I'm sure there's other things, but just pm me if you have any questions. I honestly hate how much I had to read canon stories and got so little, but I think at this point I've gotten a descent grasp of what little the canon Caribou have to them. Still, by all means go off with your own setting and make your own stuff up-you're not missing much.

If you're interested in reading a "good" FoE story, you might check out Bruised Apples by Schorl Tourmaline. While not being an "official" canon FoE story, it does have a lot of world building and realistic characters struggling with the awful situation they're in and even has a sympathetic Caribou. Yes. I said that. The author was good enough to write a sympathetic Caribou. That alone should be worth looking into, but if you need more, know that the subjugation of Equestria is not romanticized or turned to clop-every rape is as disturbed as you would imagine and it even explores a little how much the Caribou are fucking up Equestria and hints at how unsustainable their rule is. If you can stomach it, I would actually recommend reading it, if nothing else for the ending.

I would happily send you a link to mine, but it's still in the works and I've only got part of the prologue down. Still, making slow progress and I'll throw you a link when I have it done (It'll be a while).

4242972
Christ what mind thought up this caribou business? I know it started on Tumblr, because that's where everything starts it seems like. The collar thing is fucked up, and I just cannot fathom who would accept that kind of treatment from the Caribou. And the Mind Wipe thing makes sense I guess... Christ almighty... this is why I wrote the Dead Ones, those stories are probably the only ones I just physically cannot get through. I might give Bruised Apples a read, I've seen it a few times but thought it was just another story to piss me off. :flutterrage:

Well then... that explains why that one story I read with Rainbow Dash had her being fucking dumb as hell... now I know.

I'm glad I'm not missing much, I was just doing that to begin with, going off on my own because there was so little I could find about them. So thanks for the information dude, helps out a lot, if I have any other questions, I'll throw a PM your way.

and even has a sympathetic Caribou. Yes. I said that. The author was good enough to write a sympathetic Caribou

I'm sorry... Sympathetic Caribou? Well then... I am checking out this story for sure.

I'll gladly give your story a read whenever you get it out, for sure. Consider me a definite reader, just throw me that link whenever its done dude :yay:

4243501 I don't know how the hell it exactly began. I think some artist drew up some pictures with a vague theme of Caribou and bondage and it just escalated from there.

That being said, we're rather lucky-there honestly aren't a lot of FoE stories and ones ripping the setting apart/killing the Caribou outnumber the originals ten to one.

On Bruised Apples.. I will admit it gets graphic in a bad way from time to time and is rather dark, but it is the only good FoE story that also has an actual good ending. Just telling you now because you might not be able to stomach some of its parts.

It also has the dubious privileged of once being a canon work, the author infiltrated the canon writers, earned their trust, wrote it for a few years and then spontaneously told them all to fuck off and finished the story the way she wanted. So there's that.

If you're ever interested in finding out some stuff or want to talk to some like minded individuals regarding FoE, check out the Post Fall of Equestria Group. Has some intelligent bits and thoughts on the Caribou and I've been posting stuff there for a little while now as it comes to me.

Some highlights include an analysis on why certain females are more vulnerable to being corrupted than others, why Cloudsdale is a nightmare for the Caribou to deal with, and what anime/video/fictional characters in general would wipe the floor with Caribou.

4243532
I heard it was a bunch of pictures, then it just escalated from there when someone decided they wanted to write for it.

I'm glad there are stories of the Caribou getting slaughtered, I do not like seeing my fav characters getting brutally raped, and beaten and just plain treated like less then dirt because of their gender by some overgrown deer man thing on steroids :flutterrage: I know I ain't alone in this, ehehe.

I've read some nasty shit... like no exaggeration, but I will give this story a shot in the future when my schedule is cleared. I like good endings! :D

Really? :rainbowlaugh: That's fucking awesome! She sounds epic.

I think I will check it out, I'm already a member so I'll be sure to drop on by whenever.

Cloudsdale smells like it would be a delicious place to launch attacks from on the Caribou, hehehe :yay: Roman style~

4246402 Here's a fun thing about Cloudsdale I actually talked about in a post I made in the forums.

This is just based on the stories and what I was able to pick up from them, so take it for what it's worth and realize if you're writing the Cairbou and want them to be more threatening you could change it up, but here is is anyway.

The Caribou don't have a way to attack Cloudsale or any pegasus city.. They can't fly, their technology slash magic isn't good enough to reach it, and Clouddale, being a floating cloud city, is quite literally high enough that siege equipment/spells can't get at it while Clouddale itself could use its weather factories to create fun weather conditions like directed lightning storms and tornadoes.

The canon stories of course never acknowledge this little factoid and that becomes a gaping plot hole in the entire "Effortless conquest of Equestria", although if I had to describe a way Cloudsale did fall to the Caribou, it would have to be because of brainwashed stallions/traitors or a large group of griffon mercenaries, but even then Clouddale would be a very difficult obstacle to overcome for the Caribou, even if it is functionally a very flimsy city (made of cloud that anyone can fall through barring flight capable creatures like griffons and pegasi

4246420
Wow... that is honestly a massive plot hole, pfft... Cloudsdale and pretty much any city could mount a very effective offensive against the Caribou, like you said, directed thunder strikes and tornadoes, even hurricanes! Oooo... that gives me a delicious idea to use in the future. Just the thought of that is enticing~

but even then Clouddale would be a very difficult obstacle to overcome for the Caribou

I would like to imagine it has some good defenses, considering what I've heard in head canon and actual canon its like a Roman city. I would imagine unlike the horribly inefficient royal guard, the guards in Cloudsdale actually can fight worth a damn.

4246420
4246464

Would a gas canister (grenade type) on a timed 'fuse' through the center (most concentrated not diffused) of a tornado (that is what they are known for throwing first) be effective?

I am thinking like concentrated flak fire.

4253775
Hmm... maybe, I'm not sure. It might stay up there and get stuck to the clouds or something...
I need sciencey people here for this shit.

4254949 Or it could act like spray paint sticking to the body, and there are drugs that increase ones sexual desires or warp the mind that only require skin contact. Also there are aerosol forms of these as well

In part 2 have the dead ones meet back with Lyra. However you want is fine with me.

4255318
Hmm... maybe. Unless they got an airship and could fire those types of things from above, wouldn't be hard to steal one from somewhere.
4255323
This isn't the last we've seen of the Dead Ones, trust me.
