The pony game is coming along swimmingly. I'm at a point where I know exactly how to proceed to get things the way I want them, and all that remains is the drudgery of doing it.
I'm not sure when playtesting will happen. I'm tempted to put the entire thing together first, but I'll probably split the difference and start playtesting somewhere in the middle. I'll try to keep the bar update realistic.
Above is a teaser for a small subset of the barding (armor) items. Strategic window placement is there to hide a spoiler, but there are some other references you might pick up on. 
the first 4 i have no clue on, the 5th looks like sweetie bell armor, the 6th almost looks like samus aran's power suit and the 7th looks somewhat reminiscent of link's suit and shield. any of them anywhere close to correct?

The first six aren't specifically from the show. The others are from the show. The two in particular ponies might guess at are the seventh and ninth visible ones.
The seventh one is a pair of items: a yoke and a vest. The ninth is a hat and cape.
