I think the mark of a good piece of media is one that hits differently depending on when you consume it. Like how when you watch A Goofy Movie and as a kid you sympathize with Max and then when you watch it older you see more of Goofy's perspective. Or like how when you watch Shrek 2 as an adult it's still funny, but different parts are funny for different reasons (the union part, for example).

Not really. I mean, I had not considered inanimate objects, and the larva are just too cute to not use; but other than that, not too much can change (I've got most of this story sketched out until book five).
