Last few days, I've been telling myself "I need to work on a new thing!" and then I ... didn't.

And so, while I was poking around here, eagerly looking to see if anyone new had commented on my stories (seriously, I'm a sucker for feedback), I saw Tired Old Man's Letters from an Irritated Princess pop up in the featured box.

Then I made a pun.

Then ... I decided to write a story based on that central pun. Because I am silly. And shameless.

Which brings you Letters from an Irradiated Princess.

It's honestly just a tiny bit of ridiculous fluff, but it was fun to write just as a 'one and done' sort of thing. Depending on how ambitious I get, I might even write up another chapter or two later, but honestly I think it stands pretty well on its own as a bit of flash fiction or what have you. Plus, it was kind of interesting to write from Celestia's viewpoint, and the slightly 'elevated' tone she uses in her correspondence. Because, you know, she's probably aware someone's going to try to archive these letters one day. Worldbuilding!
