Hi guys!
Welcome to Dark Equestria, the new home of the Fel Equestria writing group. We are developing this account to be the final home for multi-author story projects as they come.
So, how ya been? Hope things are going well.
Life has been really busy for all of us here at Dark Equestria. You may have noticed the disconcertingly long span since the last update for Fel Equestria. Well there are some reasons for that.
So, you'll have noticed the upswing in quality and plot depth in the latter chapters of the story. That has multiple reasons for it, but to keep it simple I'm going to just mention the major ones. Ashinda moved into a strong writing position in the story management and Gold4tune stepped in to write the clop he writes so well.
This started fleshing out the story and, as many have commented, took the reading experience up a few notches. Which leads us to our current position. The barebonesy nature of the early story has Ashinda in a bind. He wants to continue the story but keeps stumbling on exposition dumps for the characters that become increasingly absurd because this information should be interlaced all through the early introductory chapters. He's sorta just gritted his teeth and done it up til now, but lately he's been picketing the front doors of Dark Equestria Inc, protesting the repeated tactical exposition strikes he's having to craft to make the story make sense in its broader context.
His current thought is to be turned loose on the early chapters and beat them into better shape to take the pressure off so he can just have fun with the characters again. And he's already started a pilot project to redo Chapter one. (It's sitting at 6k words... and he's not done!)
Also, Gold4tune has been chasing kids with canoes up and down the rivers for the last two months and hasn't been around to write da clops. Ashinda is less inclined to write clop scenes, he doesn't think he's very good at it, and it sorta embarrasses him to try. OMG he turns the cuuuuuutest shade of pink!
Aaaanyway. That is the item to be discussed with the watchers of our brave little story of demon tainted Equestria.
Do you like the idea of seeing a polished up and much more punchy start up to Fel Equestria, basically rebooting the fic and 'telling it right' (as Ashinda insists on putting it :P )?
Speaking just for myself, I really DO like the idea of that, so I'm with you all the way on that, Cody, m' dear.

I'll just keep doing what I was already doing then. :3 This weekend looks pretty sucky for writing, but we'll see what comes!
I wouldn't mind a reboot. Maybe with Dash not being a pet to Twilight and having her own individual thing going like the others do

I find this interesting. So RD and Rarity are both owned by Twilight, Rarity has shown similar submissive behavior. Pinkie and Fluttershy have been nearly absent in the story, (I will be fixing that.) but they belong to Cadance. AJ belongs to another powerful demonic entity.
None of them really have 'their own individual thing' but I acknowledge that RD has been shown in pet mode the most. This has been because most of her interactions have centered on Twi's recovery, and most of her items of interest are piled up on the bed with her. There will be some additional character work done on her, though many of the interactions seen so far will be kept, just added to.
Hmmm, interesting, this.
I was under the impression that she belonged to either Twi or Cadance.
Will we be finding out just who she belongs to later on in the story?

Certainly! Remember that RD mentions when they were banished that they were scattered. And that in the short term they found everyone but AJ. So AJ's story is rather different from the rest of them. More will be revealed in time. :)

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I do remember that.
In fact, I think I remember reading in one of the chapters (can't remember which one at the moment, sadly
) that it took the other girls something like 60 years (or so) to finally track her down and find her.
Again, cool, and I'm looking forward to THAT particular revelation!
AS I know all of Fel's faithful fans and readers are.

Hey, I was wondering if any of the FE authors would be interested in a commission... I have an idea stuck in my head and it just won't go away. So possibly helping me talk it out, or possibly outright writing it (with monetary compensation of course!) would really help this little worm stuck in my brain.
YES! I'm all for more detailed story, Fel Equestria is one of those gems i like to read for the story and idea itself instead of the cloppy parts, which while good, can't hold a candle to the interesting scenario playing out in this fic.

Working on it! In between RL being assorted types of annoyance and such of course.
I cannot set a time frame, but I have 3 chapters worth of newly written material with holes in it in need of filling. Once I get those filled in and the narrative cohesive, I will begin regular uploads for as long as the materials lasts. It's my hope that once I start uploading I'll be able to keep ahead with the material, but RL likes to peek at my plans and laugh.
It's coming, plus some new art I've been doing when too frazzled to write.
