    Happy Valentine's Day

Yes, I know I've been gone for a while. There's a lot, and I mean a lot reasons for that, but I've never left this place. Maybe I'll go into more details in the future.

I've Finally Watched Breaking Bad... Really lives up to Hype!

For years, I have had some friends who have gone on and on about a show called "Breaking Bad", with many naming it the greatest show they've ever seen. Despite having access to it, I never got around to actually watching it for a few reasons, with the big ones being time and the fear of the overhype.

    Getting Back on Track

Okay, after much time away, I'm back for the time being.

After the most recent tragedy, I decided to take some time away and do some readjusting. Something here, something there, new job, etc. I've been away from writing (except for my big project) and my blogs, so I hope to restart those. I've been keeping up with my art commissions, and I'll be sure to comment on those, too.

Fun, True Story: How I caused my family's national Football/Soccer team the most Humiliating Defeat in its History. · 12:13am Jul 29th, 2016

Last month, on June 18, the Mexican and Chilean soccer teams faced each other in the Copa America (American Cup) quarterfinals. Team Mexico had never before had won first place in that league, but they had super high hopes this year. You see, even though Chile was the defending champion, Mexico was entering a 22 game UNDEFEATED streak that included a friendly game win over Chile just 17 days before the June 18th game, and Mexico had seceded just 2 goals in its past 10 games. They were riding high on momentum and were the betting favorites to win their very first Copa America cup this year, so Mexico entered the San Francisco 49er's stadium in front of a hometown crowd of over 60,000 with confidence and enthusiasm. The results were...the exact opposite of what they and their fans hoped for, and I...may have had an impact :twilightsheepish:. Let me explain.

First, I'll be completely honest here; with the soul exception of boxing, I'm NOT a huge sports fan. Granted, I guess I could easily rank football/soccer as my second favorite sport, but that's hardly saying anything, so I really didn't care about this game. The reason I just said that is because, unlike me, the rest of my family are HUGE fans. They were excited for this game. They were all "VIVA MEXICO! Forget your laptop! Let's watch the game!" It was the only thing on theirs minds. Heck, my aunt even posted a meme on her Facebook page that said "Tonight, Mexico will win easily." That meme was supposed to be a social media meeting place that my family and friends were going to celebrate at after the game.

Now, I'm usually indifferent to their enthusiasm. It's cool, I get it. They love the sport, and they want support their team. I'm fine with that. However, this time things were a little different; they were distracting me. You see, during this time, I was working on one of my stories, and my family was really in my face with this game, like, so much so, that I couldn't focus, and it was frustrating. I care about my stories way more than any game, so when I finally had it with my family distracting me, I said "You know what? I wish that Mexico would lose this game, and that they'd lose terribly." So what happened? Mexico lost to Chile 0-7, the worse loss in the history of Team Mexico's professional career. Hehe...oops :twilightblush:.

Well, there was no celebration that night or any night for the next few weeks or so. That's kind of the reason why I'm just now blogging about this story; I wanted to wait until the fire cooled down, so I would have less of chance of provoking anyone. If you were disappointed by that game, I am so sorry.

So yeah, I wished for the worse loss in Mexico's professional career, and it came true. It wasn't all bad, though. Everyone got real quiet around the third goal, and I wasn't distracted anymore after that. I made some good progress that night.

I do feel a little sorry for what I did. I didn't expect my wish to come true, but I can't deny...I do feel a little proud. How many people can say they did something like that? :rainbowdetermined2::rainbowlaugh:. I really hope you don't think I'm horrible person :fluttercry:.

hey, a coincidence is a coincidence. not your fault that they lost as badly as they did, like you sort of hoped for.

4118824 Eh...Predicted or doomed it :twilightsheepish:

4118825 True. On the positive side, my family blames the goalkeeper more than me :rainbowlaugh:

4118842 Ha. Sure, let's go with that :raritywink:

4118855 It's actually not the first time something like this happened. I do seem to have a tendency to make things happen. This one just so happened to be the biggest.

4118861 Top deck draws, dice rolls, and bingo cards. Huh. I would make a good gambler now that I think about it.

4118884 Perhaps. Can't say for sure, though. Being overconfident over an uncertain bet wouldn't be wise :raritywink:.

4118901 Well, I like to do friendly nickles and quarters gambling. Nothing too extreme.

4118920 Hey, if I get a good hand, I'm putting down a dollar ha.

4118924 Fine. You have folded :rainbowdetermined2:

4118932 Perhaps. Could be a smart move.

I don't care about sports :rainbowdetermined2: so your fine

4118938 But, there's something about the rush of a good gamble that just makes you want to keep going

4119018 True. I'll behave myself ha.

You're not a horrible person, honestly I wish I could do that. Yeah, I might have people made at me but, be real with yourself you guessed and hoped for them to lose and they did you got to be a little bit more than a little proud, I mean I would.:pinkiehappy:

4119085 No, I would never go that far. I don't like that any of that.

and here everyone thought that the newbie iceland get far yet they defeated the favorite england and nearly got into the finale ad 2014 everyone thought germany whould loose against brazil butt we beated thm and made several new world records :pinkiehappy:

FUE TU CULPA HIJO DE TU REPUTA MADRE!
:flutterrage:

*joking*

4118832 dude let 7 goals through. it is the keeper's fault. literally.

besides, it could have been worse. you could have been in a town in Mexico while that game was going on and slowly felt the dread slip through throughout said town as Mexico lost. fun experience.

My dad was rooting for Chile that night, and when they won, he was so happy he bought everyone drinks and ice cream, so Thank you.

Eh, it was just the odds were stacked against them. I haven't kept up with the game, but where my grandmother shops they had it going and I was watching it. They gave their all but the other team was just that much better, no big deal they still have a great record going from what you've said.

4119285 Congrats on that. What was that, 7-1?

4119511 Good thing I was never a fan of that goalkeeper. Always thought he was overrated ha.

Anyway, the jubilation of my family really started to die after the second goal and was absolutely gone by the fourth. If anything, I benefited from the silence. More work done on my story ha.

4119552 I think "win" is too weak a word to describe Chile's game that night :twilightsheepish:. Congrats on the ice cream. Tell your dad I said "You're welcome."

4119581 Chile was definitely leagues above Mexico that night. Mexico will just have to pick itself up and try again.

4119791 eeyup and germany totally went berserk in that cup :rainbowlaugh: butt seriously who whould have expected that the newbie iceland defeats england who are knwn to have one of the worlds best teams

4119810 Ha. I wouldn't know. Hey, at least Brazil made one goal.

Are you a psychic? I bet you are. You know, you should wish for hope for America, and maybe that'll come true =D

It was probably some kind of coincidence...

Really, though, I would've done the same thing. XP

4119848 Ha. Some of my family and friends actually do say I'm psychic and/or lucky.

4119812 germany made 5 of its goals in 28 minutes

4120017 Well, that is impressive. Congrats to Germany :rainbowdetermined2:

I was watching that soccer match back at the day during the Copa America 2016 tournament. Allow me to tell you a story about my experience when I witnessed my home-country team losing...

I was at my aunt's house because my family was celebrating my cousin's birthday. The match was starting and my Dad called me to come back home, so we can watch it at home instead. But that means we will miss like 15 minutes of the game along the way without knowing what will happen. I told my big brother to take me home, and he agrees as well. While we were on our way home, I was scanning through the radio in the car to find the sports channel, and immediately, I heard 'GOOOOAAAAL' through the speakers. I was excited and yet felt dreadful to know if either Chile scored or Mexico scored, which I had hoped for the latter. But it was Chile instead. I was utterly shocked that Chile got the first goal for like 10 minutes or something, and they were on fire already.

And when we got back home, Chile was winning indefinitely. We pretty much gave up, because there is no way Mexico will make a comeback that big.

After I read this blog, I found out who is the psychic witchcraft that started the loss of my favorite home team. It was YOU!!!:twilightangry2: :flutterrage:

Anyways, apology accepted. I have no idea of what are the odds of some people will say something like that to shatter thousands of dreams from fans. Never expected a huge coincidence like that before. :twilightsheepish:

4119795 haha true. silence is a gift for a writer. wish i had that.

4119798 Best of luck to them next time around. Though with their win streak are they going on to the world cup or does it end for them there?

4120948 Ha. Si me rei y mi familia ya me deja en pas con el fut. No ay razon de celebrar horita :twilightblush:

4121063 Psychic witchcraft? That's a first. Anyway, sorry :twilightblush:

4121077 Ha. Noisy around you?

4121095 I'm not sure. I think they're still qualified. I don't follow the sport much :twilightblush:

4121236 nah, it was dead quite. didn't have my laptop on hand and was busy playing them fire emblem fates.

4119792 no pasa nada
NO LO VUELVAS A HACER

4121540 No voy a prometer nada :rainbowdetermined2: Ha jk.

4121966 they are fun games, my fine person.

4122998 I actually don't know what that is :twilightsheepish:
